As far as wheels go, you can add it up yourself - there is a chart/formula over at stanceworks dot com that will point you in the right direction. Good luck. W210 ftw!!!

Offset is 35+ ET. I believe you can go 8.5" fronts, and 9.5" max for the rears. I would still use spacers though for a little poke. I've seen 210 spacers for as low as $85.00 a pair for 20mm ;)

The chart/formula over at stanceworks is really good.

Hahahaa, I feel you, if it helps any I'm running 19x8.5 +35 wheels on all four corners w/ a 25mm spacer on the rears and awaiting my 10mm for the fronts, rears are pretty musch flush (as flush as it gets w/out poke) but once I space the fronts out I'll replace my tires (235/35/19) with some 215/35/19...might go w/ say 30mm spacer on the rears and space out the fronts accordingly as well. I'm a nOObie to offsets but if my calculations are right then on my rears a 19 inch wheel w/ +35 offset and a 25mm spacer then I'd be at +10 offset, not sure if that helps you any or worsens the confusion LoL. Good Luck and you're welcome man:biggthumpup:

See, man, when I got my wheels I wanted to buy four rears (19x9.5) so I could have 2 inch lip all around but the shop told me "there's no way you're gonna fit a 9.5 wheel up front." So I settled for four fronts w/ a 1.25 lip =(

Check with the vendors here, I think 20+ is gonna be your best bet just because of the application. They come with bolts that bolt the spacer to the car and use your existing luggs to attach your wheels to it...as opposed to a piece of metal between your wheel and mounting surface with longer bolts. I was told they are safer - makes sense, but who am I to talk, I'll be running 10mm on my fronts shortly here so yeah. I got mine from an ebay seller kuruma motoring.

Attn Mods : if that's against forum rules, feel free to delete.

I don't have wheels yet but they're coming soon. I'm going with a more euro look & getting old school 18" 3 piece BBS wheels or Aero AMG wheels. My 210 is desert silver gold so I'm thinking of getting gold BBS wheels with a Chrome 2" lip or painted center 3 piece AMG wheels. I'll have some major updates between now and early Spring.

Believe it or not, I'd love to get a set of BBS RS wheels lol. I would have them as a second or third set though.

I definitely need a set of 3 Piece AMG wheels of course. I'd probably run those daily.

Here you go:

http://www.otisincla.com/

any other questions let me know. I've spent the past couple of years getting to know the technical specs of the 210 and other benz models. Just give me a shout or PM me. The guys over at Benzworld and MBworld are very knowledgable, but they can be a little harsh to noob members who want to modify.

Hahaha, like God forbid you upsize your wheels beyond the manufacturer's suggested 16 or whatever. And don't even MENTION lowering your car. Unsprung weight lectures and resale value depreciation and whatever else LoL. Good luck on your hunt for the wheel hardware.

Hi Vizion,

I found what you're looking for. Please visit this site: http://www.tunershop.com/Wheel_accessories/Rim_Screws/

They run approximately $1.50-1.80 each for standard designs and $2.00+ for unique ones. It sounds a bit expen$ive but they have a good reputation.

no kidding. sometimes the best information is from non-benz sites like this one.

I'm so bummed today. I washed my car and one of my projectors is fogged :pat: It's in the mid 30's so the air temp is super cold. I have a feeling a bit of water got in them and got mixed with the cold air. I'm so mad meh. I know what I have to do but it will be a pain. I need to get the condensation out first then apply clear silicone around the seal. I'm going to work on it this weekend I guess.

I cut 1 1/2 coil off the rears and 1 3/4 off the fronts. I'm on #1 pads, thinking about just taking the rear springpads out completely after I get skinnier tires. Tighten it up a bit.
@ Tabaka, yeah, sorry to hear man. I sealed mine w/ silicone and they still get slightly fogged so I just left the covers off the back of the housing (the ones that clamp on) Before I got my HiDs I blew a bulb out in rain but the HiDs I have are supposedly waterproof and they've been cool through the rain spells we've had. Good luck man...any idea who makes a good yellow 194 bulb for the inners? The PIAAs look amber next to 8k...I have the Polarg super whites and they look ok head on but look weak from like a 3/4 shot. I have not had any luck with those "error free" LeDs.

Well I'm extremely excited to announce I got my first set of wheels for my w210 tonight. I got standard 18" monoblocks but they will be such a huge upgrade from my stock 16"s. Anyways I got them off of Craigslist for...get this...$250 including Michelin tires with about 80% tread. They have a few rashes on the lip but nothing I can't live with. Anyways I've got to get the correct lugs and cut my springs. I'll take some pics after the weekend.

Anyways I got them off of Craigslist for...get this...$250 including Michelin tires with about 80% tread. They have a few rashes on the lip but nothing I can't live with. Anyways I've got to get the correct lugs and cut my springs. I'll take some pics after the weekend.
Congratulations, that's one hell of a deal. Can't wait to see those bad boys bolted on. Damn, $250, you came up man.

are you on stock coils?

My plan is to cut stock coils, install #1-2 pads, install new control arm bushings, and do an alignment by next weekend.

Next thing will be replacing my tail lights with facelift ones. After that I need to fix issues that occur with a 10+ year old car. The interior plastic gets brittle. I tried to replace my third brake light a few months ago. The plastic cover simply crumbled when I pushed in on the tabs. That piece is $40 from the dealer lol. God I hate them :saiyancrunks:

Not at all, strait skates. It's a Benz, like Biggie said "I hit onesixtySWIFTLY"...all joking aside, I was worried I'd be sacrificing ride quality up sizing 3 inches but it cool, more comfortable than stock since it's dropped, wheels are wider takes turns way better than it did on balloons.

Looks like a facelift w210 with a Brabus rep, unless he had the exhaust cutout filled. And decided to TAKE OFF the Brabus exhaust LoL. I'm guessing rep as his car is badged Brabus but no interior goods and 20 inch chrome.

What are your guys' thoughts on these fenders? I'm kinda on the fence about them.

Brabus lip kit. Very difficult to find the authentic ones now. Tons of knocks offs on the net. Find a good body guy. The entire knock off kit is around $700.00. Just the knock off front lip is approximately $200-250.00. That's honestly what I'm going to get unless I can find the original. He swapped out his rectangle fogs for the oval shaped ones. You can find those around but I'm not a fan. The color of that car is really nice though.

You can call jonari dot come. When I was looking around for kits I called them about a wald kit. Unfortunately the one I wanted (v2) was discontinued. But they had a Brabus one. Might be worth a call. Dude that answered the phone actually owns a w210 LoL, when I told him what I was looking for he was like "oh damn, you got good taste. I own a w210" LoL

I had Halo "solaris yellow" in there w/ the PIAAs and I liked that setup just if the wedge bulbs were a little more of a lex yellow color, actually the H7 yellows I had weren't quite as bright as my 8ks (except dead on - like on coming traffic) but not too cool to roll w/ highbeams just to get the desired tone of yellow. LoL Reflection off the inner housings looked good during the day w/ yellow H7 and wedge bulb in there though, or like on the way to or from work w/ just the yellow inners clicked.

Since where talking about lights what brand do you recommend for the inner/running lights that will match the stock xenons. finished my custom w208/w203 c55 front cover a few months back and going to run 3k hid's in the fogs since I know have nice clear fogs and not hazy lined ones.

Cool, thanks. Are they the 194 wedge bulb, or are you talking about H7 highs or H1 foggs? I've seen yellow 194 Nokya, PIAA and Raybrig, but not the Luminacs. Oh yeah, I just got done w/ my shiftknob. I went to an arts/crafts store picked up a wood ball and drilled it out so it fits tight on the shifter and stained it, perfect match to all the wood trim. Just an idea fellas, easy, super affordable and you won't see it on another Benz.

Adda boy. KW is the only coilover kit that I know of that will get you low enough without having to cut a coil. Here's a link to a black W210 on KW coilovers. Good luck with the ring sitch - been there =)
Can you get a good deal on KW? I'm thinking for that price I'd rather install hydros.

http://mymbonline.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23054

And look what I stumbled across. Although, they're 20s and no lippage but with that style wheel I think you can get away without lip. Only 8 bils...

man, thos KW's are nice! So anyways fellas, hope to have pics up soon. My new wheels are sitting in the garage and waiting until I get my car lowered. No reason to install them and look like a 4x4. I've requested some help on different forums in my Northern Virginia/Wash DC area. I need to borrow a Spring Compressor. I'll keep my fingers crossed that someone will help out. If you know of any Euro contacts in the Northern Virginia Mid-Atlantic region that can help, let me know.

We used a circular blade (for metal) I bought a new one at home depot for a couple bucks. We Drew a line on the coil where to cut and out the coil on the ground between vertical like *be careful the blade can come off the coil at first as it's round ya know and would be ugly on the ankles* might even want to wear boots LoL. You'll want to get an alignment after. I'd go to PepBoys for that. Everywhere I called for alignment quoted me $65-$75 until they found out it was for a Benz, then immediately they all up-charged me to $120 or so. Shady cats man. Pep Boys charged me $69.99, not to mention it came w/ 1 year warranty so when we had to go back in to cut the second time I went back and they gave me the alignment for free - I used it a couple other times since too hehe.

So which tails should I get? I currently have pre-face lift ones (Yuck). Should I get normal face lift red and clear tails? E55 styles ones? or LED's? What do you guys have? I bought a cheap set of Chinese made E55's last year but they never worked. I was thinking about getting them again but from a more reputable manufacturer. The LED's are nice, but it might be an overkill for a 10 year old car. Plus they are triple the price of standard face lift styles.

My vote is go w/ the E55 ones. IMO the clear/red ones look weak as the spot where the blinkers are is pink and the inners (reverse) are clear. One thing to keep in mind is it is not a direct plug n' play application. You'll need to pick up the sockets that go along w/ the facelift tails. I'll check which ones need to be swapped out. I want to say it's the brown ones need to be swapped for the white or "natural" colored ones. Also I thought I got a bunk set but come to find out I just blew a fuse while fooling around w/ the tails. If it happens to you too you'll want to check the 3rd fuse box on the driver's side in the dash/door jam spot. I'll chime in after I check it out here tonight and let you know which sockets changed from 96-99/00-02...

Are you serious? I didn't know I needed the newer sockets. I kept the old E55 style ones in a box. That might make sense why they didn't work. I believe the reverse sockets/bulbs worked fine. But the actual brake lights didn't. I might ask this question over at Benzworld. I've never seen a thread about changing the sockets when swapping tails. Thanks for the tip. This is why I like our VIP Style Cars Euro section =) I learn something new everyday here. Is there a cheaper source for sockets other than the dealer? I'll check Autohaus but I've never seen them.

Sorry for the lag, I just checked it out and the way it's set up is white sockets on the outside and brown on the inside, blue ones (reverse, blinker and rear fog) stay the same. The socket is only like $7 from MB. If my paycheck hit my account I would have had them in the mail already for you man as a thank you for the white gauges. Another ez mod while you're at it is what I did was swapped out my rear blinker bulbs w/ red LED bulbs (no resistor) for a quickie blinker - old school jdm style ftw. I also ordered some yellow (not amber) chrome coated bulbs for the front blinkers. The reflection looks clean in the headlight and when the blinker is on it looks a little diferent than oem amber blinkers. I'd preferably like to find a superwhite bulb for the front blinkers that matches 8k - but I am yet to find one...

Well I made a post on Benzworld but all that did was bring up the "Mercedes tail lights are junk" debate. Anyways I'll stop by the dealer and ask for 2000+ face lift sockets for the brake lights. I think I may have had them backword or something but I'll pick up a white and brown socket for the hell of it.

I need to replace my rear bumper trim (210 885 02 21). Someone backed into my car and didn't leave a note last year. It looks lovely. Big crack in one of the corners. Here is a picture:

The bottom black trim should probably either be replaced or repaired but I think a bottom rear lip kit should cover it. I mounted it back to normal using the clips but it's still cracked. I was able to remove the black scratches and paint from the other car on the bumper though.

Too bad the 00-02 //AMG bumper cost over a grand. They fit, so do the sideskirts just not the front. See what his price is for you but you'll more than likely be able to get the rear bumper piece from a kit for less, unless he has a hook up...

I'd guess $75-100 for the pair. I found tons of them online for this price. I'm going to try and install my Chinese made E55 ones again this weekend with new sockets. If they don't work I might take these off of you. I'll send you a PM over the weekend.

Nothing new to post yet. I'm thinking about refinishing my wheels a bit. They have some curb rash (what do you expect for $250 bux). The problem is that the lips are chrome so I can't exactly puddy them up and spray them again. My thought is to change the color of the lip or spray them silver. What do you guys think? I've seen some really nice rides with accent colors. There is an older white M3 on the net with just a few green accents. It looks really nice. You probably have seen it if you visit hellaflush or stanceworks forums. I think at one time it had Corvette rims with bright green painted inserts. Anyways I'm thinking of a cool contrasting color. My car is gold so I'm not sure yet, still deciding. Maybe a really bright blue here and there would really set it off.

btw how much & what brand LED's did your gf get you if you don't mind me asking? I found a place on the net for $141 or something like that.

My car is gold so I'm not sure yet, still deciding. Maybe a really bright blue here and there would really set it off.

btw how much & what brand LED's did your gf get you if you don't mind me asking? I found a place on the net for $141 or something like that.
yea in the vip mag. i saw this gs430 wid some custom green rims that were really sick.....im not really sure wat brand they are but she paid 166 +shipping

With desert silver I'd say SOME red or black would look good. Honestly I'm not a big fan of the wild wild colors thing. But who am I to talk, I have red calipers and red engine cover LoL, pretty generic...

I want to see pics of this engine cover  Did you keep the Mercedes text on the engine cover silver or did you spray everything? It would probably be a pain to mask.

I have the Brabus one...however before I got this one I painted my stock one. What I did was pull the Benz star off and just painted the whole thing red w/ engine paint. I ended up just buying a new chrome Benz star to replace the original silver one. I had to trim the prongs off the back and used rtv silicone to attach it once the paint dried. I'm actually thinking about respraying it body color.
EDiT: I have seen others that have gone over the "Mercedes-Benz" w/ a paint pen after the cover dried. It looked pretty good.

small update. I'm going to repair the curb rash on my Monoblocks and paint the lip a bright blue. I bought 17mm Chrome Blue Lugs and Fatlace/Hellaflush Centercap overlays. The face of the monoblocks will remain silver. Here is a small shitty rendering I did. I'll take actual pics when it's all done. I'm also going to get 31mm (1.25") spacers soon. The blue will be a bright blue and a little darker than the image below. Think Windows XP task bar blue :) What do you think?

The chart/formula over at stanceworks is really good.

agreed. also im putting a set of rays wheels 20x8.5 front and 20x10.5 rear. With enough camber and a slight fender roll/trim. it should fit.

update, I installed E55 tails this weekend. They were the biggest pain in the ass ever. Of course I had to grind a bit on the reverse tail to make them fit since they came off of the face lift. These were eagle eye brand...let me tell you that they suck! I had to adjust so many points with a needle nose and mess around with the sockets to get a correct contact. I blew two fuses. Finally after a few hours I got them to work properly. Note to you guys, go OEM when buying tails. I'll post a pic later tonight or tomorrow. They look 10 times better though and I no longer sweating a lamp malfunction code :)

That sucks, I mean I'm glad you got them on and they work, but mine are eagle eye brand also and I didn't have to mess around w/ them like that. I guess it's just hit or miss with those things. Did you get the right sockets? Another thing that might help the way they look is those little red condom balloon looking things that you can put over your break bulbs. They'll give you a richer, darker red color. Looks dope IMO.

One thing that I realized is that the 97-99 pre-face lift styles have an orange reflector already molded to the housing. The newer E55 ones have that tinted section and you should have orange bulbs in the turn signals. Don't get me wrong, it looks dope with the clear bulbs blinking in the tinted section but it might be a little more legal to get some correct colored bulbs. Nelson, you are the bulb king-any clue on clear bulbs that illuminate orange?

I'll take some pics tomorrow and post them. I test fitted my wheels this weekend. They are 10 times better than stock, but they aren't exactly 20" VIP style wheels with a 4" inch lip lol. They look o.k. though. I need to get them professionally balanced and mounted.

I personally can not stand orange blinkers. That's why I swapped out my rear bulblbs for red LEDs and the fronts for the chrome dipped yellow ones from autolumination...I prefer a super white front blinker but am yet to find a bulb that looks good next to 8k lows.

what kind of style are you looking for?

Also, some wheel shops have 5x114.3 to 5 x112 redrill services.

Another tip when searching through craigslist is to type the hole pattern (5x112) in the search field. Sometimes VW posters won't put Mercedes as a tag.

No prob. Either way you'll be set. I'm still hunting for that black w210 on those wheels. Now I'm thinking they were a wheel by Ronall. But same look and they looked real good on the 210. Good luck on your hunt.

For sure, suppposedly there is one set for mid Feb, but will let you know as soon as I find out more. As you can see I had to remove my front spacers cause I was gettingviolent speed wobbles at 45mph. I had to have the centers machined out so they'd fit over the front hub and as a result the lip that's supposed to fit in the center of the wheel got chopped out too. Apparently only the DRA series (as far as H&R goes) will work for the front and rear of 210s. Anyways, here's a link if you want to see more. Pretty good turn out.

You car is looking good Nelson. I like the black grill. Looks much better than the star one.
Is your roof painted or vinyl wrapped black?

Thanks for the info about the spacers. I find some 5x112 on fleabay all the time but am always scared to buy them. Any good sources for the H&R spacers? Price$? I'm only running 8" wide so I need something big, like 30+mm lol.

Thanks man. No paint, vinyl. Kinda bummed I had to take off the front spacers, but that shaking was annoying as hell. DRA is the way to go bro. They cost a little more but so worth the extra $20-$50 or whatever. I just wasted what the 20mm DRA would have cost me between the spacers themselves and taking them to the machine shop to have the centers widened and longer luggs. PITA, You'll want to go like 30mm all around I'd say. I have 8.5 wheels and 25mm on the rear is flush w/ a 235/35/19 tire, but I'm going to downsize to a 215/35/19 and bump the rear spacer to a 30mm and 20mm up front should be cool. I got mine off ebay too Karuma motoring or something. Fair prices and the customer service/shipping is on point. Good luck bro.

I found some true H&R DRA series 30mm spacers at Option Auto for $179 a pair. I'll have to get two. Any clue on what size lug lengths I will need? I hear you on the tire widths, I'm running 225/40/18's which don't exactly pull off a "stretched" look. Think I'll be switching to 205/40's since my wheels are smaller.

I work for a vinyl shop and am just too damn busy to wrap my own roof. I'll get around to it this spring though.

Sounds good. Not sure about the luggs. I was able to use the luggs I bought when I got my wheels. Stock luggs didn't work for my wheels but the luggs that did work for my wheels worked with the spacers. DRA series is also supposedly the "safest" spacer as they come with bolts so you bolt the spacer to the car and use existing luggs to bolt your wheel to the spacer. Other applications you gotta line the spacer up between the wheel and hub and use a longer lugg. Just make sure they are for your 210 because there are tons of spacers that are 5x112, not all will be hub and wheel centric also different hub sizes. You won't regret the black roof. I'm actually about to paint my roof rails black. On one side the clear coat is flaking, peeling and it looks tacky. How hard do you think it'd be to wrap my roof wing in vinyl? I think I want it black now, just trying to decide if I should get it painted or wrapped. Only spots I see that would be tough are the corners and the underside as it's convexed...

Not hard to wrap at all I'll be more concerned that when you go to pull the film off it will pull off the clear that is breaking down on your roof. So when you take it off be ready to paint your roof

It has curves and coutures. I already have my roof done, am wondering if I should get my roof wing wrapped or just shot w/ some black paint.

It's all good LoL. Was just wondering if someone w/ exp knew the best rout to go. Only tough part would be stretching it around the bottom corners and tucking it between the spoiler and window. Thanks for chiming in man:biggthumpup:

It shouldn't be too tough Nelson. Make sure it's the control tac 3M series vinyl. It stretches nicely in the right places so the curves shouldn't be an issue. Stop by a sign shop and ask for a 15" x 10 yard roll of gloss black 3M Control tac vinyl. It shouldn't cost too much.

Thanks, good looking out fellas. I might just try it myself. The guys from downshift graffics that did my roof for me drove to my place in OC from the IE (about 30 minutes or so) and charged me $135 for the roof. After watching the roof instal I suppose I could wrap my wing. The best way I could describe the curvagure of the spoiler is if you were to take a bowl and cut it in half diameter style. The cut line would be up against the window. That's an exagerated example, but same shape concept...

Update fellas, I just ordered a set of 20mm DRA from Kuruma Motorsports on ebay and I gotta say that I'm impressed with their customer service and would recommend
any of you go through them. I accidentally ordered the 20mm for the 211, I asked if they could send me the correct part number for my 210 (which was $10+) and they replied immediately and said I'll get the correct part number. This was all after the transaction took place. ALSO, my last purchase from them I needed to return and that process was very easy and they held up their end of the deal...looks like I need to check myself, I'm becoming "that" customer LoL. Needless to say I sent them some extra cash via paypalto make up the difference and for them being so easy to deal with.
Highly recommended seller Kuruma Motoring.

Awwe man. That's the worst. Talk about adding insult to injury. Damn man, I've been there bro. With my previous car I had just gotten my front bumper on, literally a week before and I'm at work and all of a sudden I see lots of people gathering around my car so I'm like WTF...walk out there and my bumper is completely unattached on one whole side, just resting on the ground:pat:
Fortunately enough (for me) some good Samaritans saw what happened, took down the person's license plate and description of their vehicle. Had already called the cops. Turns up, no licence, no insurance, no money. No dice. The good that came out of it all was that the lady cop that came out was HOT. I mean like I almost thought it was a joke she was so hot. Took her for a cup of coffe right there in the plaza, tried to spit game to her, but she wasn't having it. Fresh outta high school, working at a drug store LOL. Bangin bod, even in her uniform.
Hang in there man.

Not gonna fit bro. From the mirrors forward facelift models are different. I mean anything is possible with enough work, but to answer your question in short - no.:signdammit:

I'm with Nelson on this one. It's not going to fit unless you give some severe body work attention to it. Keep looking on Ebay for any fenders. I find them on a weekly basis. It doesn't matter the color, just sand it down, prep it right, and respray :)

so I missed out on an Ebay auction the other night for a set of used H&R springs. They sold for $50!!! I placed a bid for $35 and lost at the last second :/ Anyways, I'm going to keep looking.

I bought some new motor mounts from Autohaus last night. They are on sale for $63! I'll hopefully get them installed in the next few weeks. I also need my cooling system looked at. My electric fans don't work properly. They are rotating in the correct direction but my temp gauge goes through the roof when they turn on? it's weird. When my indy installs the motor mounts I'll have them fix this too. Any clue what that might be? I posted something on Benzworld and those mofo's jumped all over me. You can probably find the thread in the past few days. They got pissy because I've been driving around with out the fans running. Honestly, it's been 30 degrees or less for the past few months, I doubt my engine needs any cooler air lol. I'm having it looked at soon.

I'd like it if my rears were 9.5"s. 30mm Spacers are around $150 a pair!

EDIT:

check this out, I was on VWvortex today...bet you never thought our bottle cap w210 wheels could ever look good!
Obviously he added some wide spacers & stretched tires but still...

this is the most jacked thread of all time lol. I think we should change the name to modded w210 owners thread :)

ok, so here's my weekly drama report. I installed my new monoblocks this weekend! The good news - they look great! The bad news - I broke a lug during the process :(

So I'm in search of the older "long" style lugs. See the pic below:

Forum image

The Mercedes dealer no longer sells this style. They have a new shorter style. I'd rather not buy 20 new lugs when I only need one if you know what I mean. I've checked all of the normal sources...Otis Inc, DIYParts, autohaus, etc...all of them sell the new style too. I found one on ebay though. The guy wants $22 +$7 for shipping! That's just for one!!! I have these really nice chrome blue lug covers that wouldn't be seen if I installed the shorter lugs. They would be inset into the lug holes a good inch or more. Let me know if you guys have an extra one laying around or know of someone who does. Typically a lot of people need a newer set of lugs and toss these because these only work on Monoblocks and standard 210 bottle caps.

If I don't get a new one by the weekend I'll just have to get the shorter style all around. I'm not spending $30 for one lug when I can get a brand new set of 20 for almost the same price :pat:

I definitely need a set of 3 Piece AMG wheels of course. I'd probably run those daily.

For shows and meets, I'd probably get BBS LM's.

Someone from Benzworld gave me a great deal on a few longer style lugs.

So my car isn't running so hot. I just filled up a full tank tonight and was on my way home. I've been noticing some more than heavy smoke coming from my ride lately so I made an appointment for this weekend with my Indy to check things out. I pull into my garage and heavy, heavy white smoke is coming from my exhaust :saiyancrunks: Guess I'll be dropping it off first thing tomorrow morning instead. Maybe they can get to it earlier. I'm hoping it's not major. I was planning on getting new motor mounts, rotors, and a new fuel filter installed. Now I think it's going to be something like a radiator or head gasket...who knows. I'll keep you guys posted.

Sucks to hear, best of luck. Modding can wait. I'm taking car of similar stuff right now to. Rough idle (transmission mounts) 02 sensors and break lamp switch for the BAS/ASR. Relationships with cars are give and take bro. TCOB.

Modding is definitely on hold at the moment. The GF is ready for me to trade it in. I hear Toyota's are cheap these days ...jk :slap: I'll wait and see what my indy says later today.

The brake switch replacement is super simple Nelson. It took me about 45 minutes in total, and get's rid of the BAS/ASR code. I've never replaced my 02 sensors though. I've only owned this car for 5,000 miles, and I've spent about $5,000 on fixing it lol.

bad new guys :( both head gaskets are done, coolant system needs a full repair, rack and pinion system is leaking, coolant got into the block etc. The car is toast. I'm going to either part it out or sell it as a whole. If I part it out, I'll let you guys know for first pickings.

Car was sold yesterday for $3000. I guess that's not bad considering the engine needed to be replaced. The smoke was just pouring out during the test drive. I'm in the market for an S2000 now. I'll keep you guys updated.

the story thickens. I sold my car on Friday night at 4:30pm. I went inside to get a screw
driver to remove my plates and when I came back outside the car was gone. The persons
who bought this car left their vehicle though. These dumb asses didn't realize that my
community is a permit parking only lot. yeah, I gave them a shot to give me a call. My
phone never rang. I tried to call them and they ignored me and never answered. At 10am
the next morning I called the cops. They impounded his truck and found some shady
evidence inside. Apparently this guy is a gypsy who has a driveway sealing business and
solicits his business as a professional. The only thing is that he used old motor oil and
deisel fuel. Normal home owners can't tell the difference and think the smell is normal. He
collects the money and splits. He then has about 5 aliases from Florida to New Jersey.
He is just a shady character. So now he has a petty larceny charge along with a car in the
impound lot.

So check this out, I go to dinner with my family on Saturday night. When my parents and
uncle drop me off, guess who's there? My 210 is at my lot sitting in front of were this guys
pick up truck was. There are three people inside so I tap on the glass. They roll down the
window and I'm like wassup? They were shocked as shit. They didn't expect to see me. I
was like, I want my tags now. My parents blocked them in with there CLK and I went inside
and got my screw driver. I got the rear one off really quickly. I went to get the front one off
and this guy just starts screaming at me, saying he needs one of my tags, why was I being
such an M*F*er...I was like dude, you have no room to talk. Don't try and manipulate me.
You've been running around with my tags for over 24 hours with no omission to return them.
He was just a shady dude. I went to get the front tag off, and this guy inches the car
at me. I stand up and I'm like, seriously, you are going to hit me? That's like attempted
manslaughter 5-30 years bro. I've got five witnesses watching you right now. I got my front
tag off and he's just screaming that I'm an M*F*er and all this stuff in front of my mom and
dad. This was just crazy. I live a simple life, pay my taxes, work a 9-5, I try and do everything
legit. This was just insane. Word of wisdom, never sell a car on craigslist lol.
There are too many wacko's out there. So the guy sped off but at least I got my tags. The
cops showed up late and missed him by 5 minutes. I called the cops when I went inside
and got my screw driver. Anyways this gypsy mother f*cker now has a few questions that
need answering by the Alexandria City police here in Virginia.

then again I'm not sleeping well at all. I have my doors locked and blockaded with furniture
and stuff. This is not exactly the way I like to live. He knows where my place is. My apartment
number is also on the title and bill of sale copy that I gave him. So I'm keeping a watchful eye
out. I assume he's dangerous. The cops pulled all of these alias names and criminal records of this guy.
They showed me his picture to confirm on some old warrants. it was definitely him. I'd post his name
but just in case he googles himself from time to time, I'd rather protect myself. I believe in the
2nd amendment if you guys catch my drift too.

Damn Tabaka, sorry to hear. You're a good guy. I can say that because of PMs sent back and fourth and the fact that you went out of your way to kick down the extra set of white gauges you had. Just out of the blue like that. You are just that kind of person that we need more of in this world. You can never be too careful, but at the same time you don't have to live in a paranoid state of mind. This guy will get his. I don't know much about life, but one thing I am sure about is that we all definitely get back what we put out there, so rest assured - it's not a matter of IF all that shadyness comes back to get him - it's a matter of WHEN. I know that doesn't always settle the score in our book when someone wrongs us. But it helps. Hang in there bro.

Well he's got a warrant for petty larceny. Even though I got my tags back, the officer told me that the paper work is filed and he would still be arrested on the spot if he was pulled over. The charge would be dropped in court since I got my tags back, but I bet he might think twice about doing this again. There is only one word to describe this guy - "CROOK"!

I'm still a little paranoid but typically criminals are pretty scared to mess with others who have no problem dialing 911. I pay my taxes which supply the police force with their officers, equipment, and weapons. I have no problem using my resources.

I hope my family and I never see or hear from this guy again. I mailed my registration card back to the DMV along with a copy of the bill of sale. I guess I'm 100% done now. I'm making some arrangements to see this s2000 in a few days. It's silver with red interior, hard top, coil overs, and Enkei wheels. It's been garaged and has 41k miles. The price seems fair so I'm going to check it out.

If things aren't weird enough, homeboy calls me today to apologize. Isn't that strange? I didn't really know how to answer this dude. He was like, I haven't slept well in days and I just wanted to say I'm sorry. WTF, weird man.

Anyways, I've got a set of 96-99 W210 white gauges if anyone wants them. I sent Nelson a set a few months back. I'm not sure on the quality, but I picked them up for $20 bucks or something. If you want them, it's yours. I can just stick them in the mail. Paypal me $0.44 cents lol, jk. Send me a PM. First person that wants them, gets them :)

Sound like tweeker's remorse. If there's such a thing LoL. Weird though. I can't vouch for the quality as I haven't installed them yet (holding off for chrome rings and wood surround) but they look fine. Thanks again Tabaka.

I'm 99% certain they are the same unless you are crossing years. 96-99 models are the same, along with 2000-2002.

Week 3, and I still don't have a car. I decided to look at SC300/400's but I can't find any locally in the DC/VA area. My budget is $6-7K which I think is a little low for a nice one :(

so I bought an SC300 last night. It's a 1995 black 5spd, tan leather, with 111,000 miles. Overall it's in good condition for being 15 years old. It's dropped with 19" WORK Euroline wheels. The rest is pretty much stock except for tint. I actually have to remove the tint from driver and passenger side glass because of the wonderful Virginia commonwealth laws. I have to get the car inspected and it won't pass. Mechanically it's great which is what really concerns me when buying used cars now. Anyways I'll take some pics over the weekend.

@ Tabaka - Looking good man. Thanks for the pics. Some quick and easy mods would be just to red out the tails and paint the side markers black. Might give you a whole lotta bang for your buck. But the SC is looking fresh none the less:biggthumpup:

Thanks Nelson. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with the tails. A lot of people just swap for 97+ models which look nice. Then again a lot of people think the 95 models (like mine) looked the best. Anyways I've got a long way to go, and a lot of time =)

Help me out fellas. I'm on the fence about the FAB kit for my 210. Mainly because I can't live with the fitment issues on my front bumper, was going to just get a fron lip for the front bumper but that's kind of boring. At first I thought the FAB kit is cool, border line fugly though but I think it might flow with my wheels. No wing, just bumpers, skirts and door caps. Here's some links to a buddy of mine who rocked it years ago. Unfortunately his ride is no longer on the streets.

Thanks Boosty, that's what's got me on the fence. Round body lines, bubble eyes but the kit is so square. I was thinking about the AMG a while back too, saw a 210 from NY dude had the bottom half of the AMG bumper fitted to the his OEM bumper and it looked alright. I just can't live with my kit and the fitment issues, middle of my bumper is all warped, body gaps are uneven, fog light windows are different depths...MESS. I've tweeked it as close as possible but it's not going to work. That's just the front bumper. Rear lip is off too but that's a whol other story LoL.

Hey Nelson, I always liked the clean look of the stock bumper and Brabus lip. You probably already have the stock bumper, and the brabus lip is $200 (rep of course). I'd swap in some super clear or yellow glass fogs.I know it's boring, but it's a nice look for the preface lift 210's.
