Abandoned Q45

This is a very strange question/situation and I was wondering if you guys might be able to help...

At a grocery store (about half a mile from my apartment) there is an abandoned Q45 parked on the side of the building. It is a large store (Wynn Dixie) and the car has sat there for about 8 months (I think). It does not have an orange roadside abandoned sticker on it.

Apparently nobody knows that the car is there....it has an out of date inspection sticker and out of date plates as well.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's a G50/first generation, white and in fairly decent shape: all the tires are flat and there is some rust as far as I can tell.

My question is...how do you go about purchasing/obtaining the title to a vehicle like this? My fiancee thinks if I'm willing to pay the towing fee that maybe I could get the car?:shrug:

Gorgeous ride and I'd hate to see it go to waste...let me know if you guys have any opinions/experience.

contact the DMV , maybe they can look it up from the plates and see what happened to the owners. And ask them if you can take it.

Here in hawaii, I had a friend that worked for DOT abandoned vehicles unit. I found a 90-94 ls400, abandoned,expired tags. Wrote down the VIN and plates, gave it to him and he ran it. He got me an address and phone number.....

But I'm thinking, if you got a cop friend, have him run the plate to the last known owner and address.. then offer to take the car off their hands instead of thempaying fees or whatever....

Or find a chronic tow truck driver, give him some money to tow it then strip it if that's your plan...  but you'll just have to hope to original owner has the title...

Set it on fire ...... i will pay to see a U tube clip ..=)
