Ls400 offset question
I might try rocking some 20x8.5 and 20x9.5 rims and believe the offsets are +33 on front and rear. They are mercedes pcd 5x112 so I am gonna add spacer/adapters to give an effective +8 offset...
I am wondering if these are gonna clear.
In the end it will be:
Front: 20x8.5 +8 with 235/30/20, fenders cut and pulled a little
Rear: 20x9.5 +8 with 245/35/20, cut fenders
I think it will be close so looking for some answers from LS400 owners...BTW mine is a 97 LS400.
I didnt want to put this in the wheel and tire section because I believe its more LS specific.

but based on those numbers, you will be pushing it a bit. like you said, will require some guard work, but it's definitely do-able! so if you don't mind taking to the gaurds with the roller then you should be ok.
must be a good deal tho if ur going to the effort of running adapters....

it should be really close, depending on how much camber you want to run but i've seen a set up on a friend's car with 20*10 wheel +14 offset w/245/35 rubs a little bit. The set up has -2 deg camber at driving height and he also had cut fenders. So in order to run the set up mentioned above without rubbing, you may have to run more agressive camber or perhaps pull the fenders a little bit. hth

Roll your fenders flat and then figure out the spacer situation. +8 offset is really pushing it without a fender pull or flare.
Its not like the wheels themselves are +8 so you can always get a slightly smaller spacer if necessary.
Tire sizes are good for that width but a 225 up front would help even more.

rears will be fine with a roll and a couple degress of camber but the fronts will be mexiflush at driving height, and you'll have fender issues. will prolly need more than a roll and mildpull for sure.

yeah...was thinking about the front too. I may considering milling down the spacers or end up selling them. They are brabus III look a likes.

5x112 can be made to fit 5x114 just by using "wobble-nuts" - this would save you the spacer issue...
Sort of on topic... My wheels for my UFC20 are 18x8 et20 and 18x9 et20 I'm hoping these should do a good job of filling the arches?

The 18's should be fine...just watch the tire size. Pic of the wheels..

oh...where do I find the wobble nuts. But then the offset is weak. Is there a smaller than 1" adapter?

as ryhi said, you can get them made/find them eventually
iirc thinnest adapters you can find are 15mm.
the wheels do have the cutouts in them for you to run an adapter, right?

sure do...I'll search around for 15mm adapters. If anyone knows or where to get wobble nuts let me know.If I can find wobble nuts I may put this on a 07 maxima and get coilovers(the gf's car)
