Bose (y33)

I have a Y33 and still have stock Bose deck system but when i have burn CD disk (Mp3 format) trying to play it. Reads it sometime Error on the sceen!Why?:signdammit:

Idk mine did the same thing when I had my stock head unit in I keep puttin the cd in over and over until it would play lol, then eventually I said fuk it and went aftermarket

Because they don't play MP3 format.  They will play burned standard audio CD format only. Time to upgrade, nothing like a new system w/ nav and iPod interface to update the interior either.

What made u guys think they would play mp3? I've heard of some people swapping out the stock deck with the pathfinder/qx4 decks cuz those are mp3 compatible. But not the stock y33 ones

I have Nav on xb 2nd> Frecking sucks cuz i tried to in my cousin house address in La hoya AND Utc arcoss the mall,since its his gym. Its call THE BOXING CLUB,. It could find it, it would say unknown. I went and bought the little plug in one by Garmin Nuvi. Those work awsome!!! Yes do need to upgrade.

i have the same problem with my cd's burned or bought. all audio cds i play work fine until it gets to the 12th or 13th track and after that they all start skipping and my discs get eaten. -_____- so for now its just radio until i throw in that pioneer avec double din

I figure it out. All my disc that I recorded mp3 format. It actully plays fine in 5disc player back of the trunk. Kool...:biggthumpup:

You can actually play MP3 format discs??  Well, if anyone wants it, I got my old 6 disc changer and stock HU avail!!!

can someone else confirm that mp3's play in the disc changer?

up.Installion is easy, just taking off the panel is the hardest? Will i need a
 
bracket kit. I have the wiring harnest for now. Any information

Most double din head units should bolt up to the stock brackets. My kenwood bolted right up to the brackets. It also came with a trim ring to cover up the gap.

Took extra days off, things to do around the house and my garage. i would like to DIY? :shrug:Where do you start by taking off the bolts/panels? I wanna take my time...

Yah most all aftermarket decks/dins will bolt straight in.

Get a new deck.  You can buy a Kenwood as cheap as $80 on ebay that will play mp3.
