Need opinions from everyone

As everybody know, we have been having glitches as far as the forum is concerned. I have been reading the forum software that we are on and it looks our software is really out dated. This would be an easy fix if only I had the FTP addy and pass but, I don't. As everyone knows John (webmaster) has been busy and been inactive for a couple of years now. So I can't even get intouch with him to either buy the site off him or atleast tell him what's going on.

This is where I started getting the idea on starting my own site and forum, and this is the part where I need opinions.

A) Do I do the same content as this forum?

B) Make it more tranditional as far as plaforms are concerned (ofcourse there will still be a section for non-platforms, but as far as discussions on wheels, exterior, ect... it will be limited to vipcars, wagons and other type that are accepted like boxes and fits).

C) Go the total opposite of B and have the concept of "all cars can be styled to be VIP"

Or 

D) Not a good idea and a total waste of time.

I really want everyones opinion, so please leave a few word and not just a one letter answer.

my vote for B, we need to not go mainstream with this style

Surely I would want to buy this site before I try to start another one.

Don't worry, it's still going to be almost the same. Except there's no more discussions on "how to make my ford mustang VIP?" or "what is the best wheel fitment for my audi TT?". Basically, more info dealing with the traditional vipstyle.

Traditional VIP, there isn't any other way to do it Poyet.

Poyet is being respectful. There really isnt much of a choice anyways due to problems happening on the forum. I'm still working on getting a hold of John. Let you know the status tomorrow. My choice is B. 

B for me as well.

I know mainstream is coming but we need to be the underground movement to keep it going.

i like b as well although i have a galant which really isn't vip platform but would i still be welcomed, and what about the diamante as there is a vip platform or style if you will

I choose B & get a NEW forum started........... NEW & IMPROVED.

I was on a forum the other day takes you to a chat section for those w/ an account automatically.......... its for the forum membes only.

Old information getting deleted is NOT good thats why we get the same questions asked over and over doesnt show up on a search. $UCK$ !!

u guys are so clouded by this "tradition" shit that youre failing to realize how rediculously monotonous the site would become. people wanting to make a car that isnt the usual vip type of car is whats going to make new ideas form and make this thing evolve into something great. what u guys are proposing is basically a FAQ page with pictures.

Like what? a Honda Civic Vip style car? or a Caddilac Escalade Vip style SUV no thanks, there are plenty of fourms for these types of cars. I think VIP has already established itself well enough to handle its own.... :police:

Don't trip guys. The site will be remodeled. Just be patient as I myself am waiting to see whats going on. All I know is John is not going to sell the site. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.

No one is tripping but since he is MIA for ever and not saying anything I think its time to move on to bigger and better things......... what are we suppose to do sit here and hope/ guess whats going to happen.

I take it you talked to him thats why you know he wont sell........

now that he knows this talk is happening hes going to do something funny how things work out that way.
