Post your wheel lock setup

how do you guys keep your wheels from getting stolen? gun? alarm? jp. what wheel locks are you guys running? I am currently on some spline drives and bull lock wheel locks. just wondering what else is out there. i've looked and came across some $500 dollar wheel locks on a website and wow couldnt believe they were really $500!

Im not using any wheel locks right now but I should get some ... 
I guess Trunk Monkey is way to go... but it must be expensive... =)

lol dont be surprised your whole car get dragged just to take your rims. Only thing that really stops them is multi wheel locks and a good sensitive alarm and a garage but hey if they want it they will get it regardless

For my new wheels Im doing multiple wheel locks. Thats about all you can do.

I also always keep a suprise in the glove compartment. You just never know.

meh,never used any plus i never leave my car on a street at night, its always tucked in the drive way, plus i live in a good suburb, with far more expensive cars parking on roads.
plus my lorinser centre caps are deceiving:) they have allen key bolts all around it, even tyre shops have no clue how to take em of:)centre caps are screw on type and bolts are just for looks:)

Yep Agi's wheel lock are cool as hell, can't get the top part off of the lug without that key.

No you cant. They lay flush with the wheel opening meaning they dont stick out. Also, weds wheels have very small holes (no homo) so you cant even use a normal socket to get in there let alone pliers.
 
Its not just a magnet, you cant just pull off the top piece.  I won't scan a pic of the inside of the top wheel lock (for obvious reasons) but it is a key as well

eh, not really worried about it. all my wheels are marked. and theyre so rare that if i found them for sale after they were stolen, it would be a 99.9% chance that they would be mine. i do have bersaglio 2 piece locks installed as a deterrent though.

I'm thinking about making a set of lug nuts for myself!! I was thinking I should make a set that has two locks. One lock is for the cover and one to actually unscrew the nut.... Everything would be custom made by me. BTW, I'm going to school for cnc right now and I could make parts for myself at the moment cause my teachers cool and I'm caught up with all the projects!!

Bringing this thread back from the dead. Now that winter is over, it's time to put the wheels back on. I just bought my first house and the neighborhood is so/so. Seems pretty family oriented, but the paranoia is still there. The SC is parked outside in the driveway for the most part. I have common motion security lighting around the front, side, and rear of the house. I'm currently using gorilla lugs but was going to add a second set of mcgards. Anyone every use a gps locator on their wheels? Similar to what they have for pets :smiley-rofl:My friends joke around with me and say I'll find my wheels in a few months on a Caprice or Monte Carlo. I know the old saying, if someone wants your stuff bad enough, they'll get it. I'm not on air, but low enough that someone would need a pretty low profile jack to get the car up. Anyone have any newer wheel lock items to share or are mcgards, gorilla, and kranze still the latest options?

I've actually got a set of these laying around if you're interested..

I just park mine at 0 psi and lock the switch box. Soon i'll just park at 0 psi and take the switch controller in the house with me when I upgrade to the accuair controller. =)

I run gorilla locks, switched over to those after my mcgard locks snapped in half while trying to take them off the car.

So far no problems yet with the gorilla locks, only thing i can knock on is that they are a bit bulky

I've got a set of gorillas, but are they becoming more common these days? I see these on sale at autozone and a typical thief might have several of their keys. Think that's why I want to get a second set of a different brand on there. Mine are hidden by DH caps so I'm not worried about appearance.

Gorilla locka are about as generic as it gets around here. Discount tire sells a set each time a customer buys after market wheels and everyone else buy them from vatozone, I gave a set away with some rims I recently sold.  Theres like 4 different keys but all fairly easy to come by. As for me I use a set of bersaglio crytal lugs my friend kohinoor hooked me up with.

fuck, those dency locks only come in 12mm. the new LS uses a 14mm size lug stud LOL

i use gorillas currently, but i know a guy who produces 7 sided lugs, think i might cop a set.

so the Wed locks are just 4 sets of the dency's?

where might i procure a set, short of buying 4 sets of the kyo-ei's?

i use mcgard open ended ones because it comes with an open ended key that works with my extended studs. most keys dont come with open end so its hard to tq the lock properly and sometimes its hard to remove the lock when the key becomes damaged.

of course you could just drill out any key to make it open ended but why do that when one can buy a set of mcgards without the sweat?
