Question on Odyssey air suspension

I am considering installing an Air Runner set up on my '07 Odyssey and I'm looking for honest answers/opinions here from people who have or had air on a van or other heavy vehicle. Right now the van rides on H&R springs and 20x8.5 Privat wheels and I am happy with the ride and handling but would love to have the benifits of an air suspension. H&R claims a 10% stiffer ride than factory with their springs. I'm not willing to go too much stiffer than that as this is a daily driver/family hauler/vacation mobile and I'm sure the wife wouldn't appreciate it too much. She loves it like it is but I just can't leave well enough alone! (which is why were all here right?)
How rough/bouncy is the ride on air?
How reliable is air suspension? ( I know anything can fail, but busting a bag while on vacation 1,000 miles from home wouldn't be good for me...)
Would you put air on a daily driver that you haul your family around in?

air rides prob smoother than springs. if you didnt tell her what you did i m sure she wouldnt even notice you added bags in it. 
 
Alot of OEM high end cars come with bags already installed.. 
 
So you shouldbe very close to OEM if done right. 
 
the Air runner kit prob ride the best out of all the kits becuse its a compelete kit with shocks and struts designed for the air ride. 
 
I have UAS and it rides ok and many times people that dont know aout my car rides in it they dont even know its bagged.
 
Air is safe if done right! Its all about the quality of the install. I have 3 kids and my car has been driven daily for the past going on 3 years with not one problem. 
 
Attention to detail is key.. like using more reliable compression type fittings rather than the push to connect that will fail in a matter of time. addign a water trap and an extra check valve after the trap. Also keeping to the basics.. Manual swtiches Vs digital controler. Manal switches are your best bet with a digital gauge or even needle gauge.  Stay away from the easy street digital controler its not worth all the head achs and money. IF you do a search here you will find out there are alot of unhappy people that either have it or took it out. But its way better to just stick to basics.

Exactly what ^^^^he said with emphasis on "Quality of Install".  It is all about the Install Quality.  Marshall put together my SilkRoad Coil-Overs with UAS System.  I love my Air Set up!  What is even better is because I have the SilkRoad Coil-Overs matted together with UAS System I have the best of both worlds and I will still be able to "Fine Tune" accordingly.   I still scrape all over the place but its nice to have the "option" of wanting to scrape of not.  LOL 

Plus one on staying "basic" with Manual Swtiches........BIG THUMBS DOWN on the Easy Street Digital Controller!!  My Easy Street Digital Controller left me on stuck on the ground.....complete waste of my hard earned money!!

Good info. Thanks. I've heard alot of good things about the Air runner systems. Their kits are a little pricier than some of the others out there, but this seems like one of those "you get what you pay for". I just wanted to get some honest answers from someone other than a dealer trying to sell something. Thanks again.:biggthumpup:

I have installed all kits.. and tested them all.. 
 
Air runner hands down! might cost more but your right you get what you pay for. 
 
I always tell guys that ask me what kit.. Airruner is the first on my list. but than if they dont have teh cash .. it would be UAS..

Good luck on that build. I have air runners in my Q n like everyone says, it rides better than stock and not as stiff as coils. Let me know when u wanna sell your springs on your van. =)

Thanks so much for your insight. Nice to hear from someone who has some "hands on" with these set ups. From what I'm hearing, it seems that the ride is much better than I expected.

Thanks. I don't expect to do anything too soon as I have a few projects to take care of around the house first but when the time comes to make the change to air, I'll let you know about the H&R's.
