I'm a careful driver too 245/30/20 on a 9.5...Any idea what size I should step up to? 235/35/20 or a 245/35/20?

I been rollin on stretched tires for years and never had anything happen like that...and way more aggressive than a 245 on a 9.5 too.. Sometimes shit happens.......Just gotta suck it up. Gotta pay to play. That shit looks pretty crazy though.......I worked at a tire shop for 4 years and never saw somethin like that!
I wouldn't blame CA, or CA's roads. That's caused by rolling on a stretch with low tire pressure. Keep a closer eye on your pressures next time, and everything should be AOK
Can I lose that much air in 2 weeks?? Today probably would've been the 2nd week/ 14th day...

yes, exactly what NYC03Alti said. cause im running stretched 225/35/19 on a 9.5 never had any problems. just gotta keep an eye on the air inside yo rubbaz.
As much as i have a dislike for citys to provide adequate street conditions, its true. We are the ones at fault, cuz we dont drive standard, boring, cardboard cutouts. Really it sux for anyone to have to reach into their pockets for unforeseen issues wit their cars, but thats what we do and move on. However feel free to vent all you like cuz it helps! Sorry yo and i hope you get that sorted out soon, cuz im still werking on my previous issue as well.

Thats why I use black magic instead of armour all... seriously though... Its just one of those things you gotta expect once in a while...

one of my wheels did some kinda like that, and they where Falkens
heavy car.... camber.... thin ass tires.... stretched fitment.. its a recipe for disaster.. that's why they have that term.. "pay to play".. its FUCKEDUP but still that's just how it goes.. i know on my GS, i had probably 8-9 alignments done as well as at least 6-7 full set of tires and a few pairs of tires all in only 3 years... it sucks.... good luck with your next set of tires.. i say stay away from falken cuz it seems like they suck ass for bubbles
I had 245/35/20 on a 10 and with -5 camber it turned out that way but mainly because of low pressure in my tires because i was too lazy to check but lasted about 6 months with minimal checking. Just like everyone else said I would check atleast every week or so on the pressure to make sure its not deflating cause the smallest bump can cause a loss of air depending on the camber especially if you are riding on sidewalls and my issue happened in CA I was driving in NY with checking every other day and had no issues just slacking on the pressure caused real problems
Toyo's suck when it comes to stretching on 2 ton cars. Weak side walls. I had 3 burst on me in 3 months on conservative stretches when I was on my 20's. They are good tires, just not good for stretching on anything other then light ass VW's
I think I'm sticking with Nexen's for now to stretch

i shaved mine with a dremel too. takes a long time but it works. dont give up!
