Interior trim

Hey all! have you seen a vip car that had its wood trim painted? I am kinda in the middle process of this, and looking for ideas. So far a lot of the Maybachs have a dark almost black wood trim that could be granite cause it sparkles a bit. My Q45 has black interior with wood trim a lot of it doesn't match for some reason and opting for full paint on it. 

I am going kind of a new art deco style? I guess is what you would call it. The inserts on doors, and center part of seats and center arm rests will be white alcantara with black diamond stitch. I am thinking the wood trim painted a bright white pearl and flake would be right. Also thought about the Maybach style of the "black galaxy" colored trim. I just feel it would hide with the black interior with some white. where as these are almost all white

What year Q do you have? Can you post pics of your interior?

might work ..except for the size of the rear of the rear seat in an F50 is tiny  VS the BACH ..

Yeah, that is true! Sorry no pics of interior most everything is apart anyway. but it is a 02 f50. all black interior. Also contemplated all white seats too.. playing with colors to make it look bigger inside. It's like interior decoration for houses on yo car! lol

maybe it might be to much white with the "white" wood trim

I love the double stitched inserts. Very classy and pricey

x2 on the quilted/diamond inserts ...Altamoda do some nice looking ones. (Does anyone have a list in [U]english[/U] of the cars it makes their covers for? My Japanese isn't as good as it was in year 7

I think if you want to paint it pearl white,go for it! it shouldn't look bad provided the seats have white to pick it up.If it looks ordinary, paint it gloss black. 
If you want woodgrain to suit, then have you considered getting somebody to re-print the items so you're happier with them like [URL="http://www.vipstylecars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18244&page=4"]lowvan2u[/URL] did?

Painting them various colors isnt to hard for me. almost 8 years background in auto body. I am actually leaning towards black now considering i might add more white to the interior and i think the wood being white... might be a bit much.

How I am doing the black:
Spray down jaguar pearl black, for a base coat. I picked up some black glitter, yes i know glitter. Its the only one i found that i like and its small enough flake that it doesnt look ridiculous and its cheaper than actual auto flake. Step aside house of color.

Taking the black flake which looks like a glittering black prom dress, add it to dbc500 which is a ppg non pigment paint. 

Picked up yet another glitter. but its in a glue for rofl. It is almost a prismatic flake but not like a rainbow.. I will post pics soon. going to add that to clear epoxy pour it over the tops of the trip let it set up for a few days. 

With the prismatic flake in the resin and not as much as the black flake it will give off a sharp look

NO, I get the whole concept. It can look really good contrary you likening it to a prom dress (that might attract a few haters lol.) Bit like granite like you said.
If you're into the table thing you could make up one out of mdf and paint it the same colour with 2 pack too. (that's what I plan to do being an ex-joiner).

that g35 from houston in refined elegance, kalvin maui i think his name is, got all his interior trim custom dipped in a black woodgrain.

Thats real granite veneer? cool. Not so cool is white carpet ewwww are you kidding? Gee! That'd wear well next time it rains.

VV i doubt its a daily driver.....

With that kinda scratch I'm sure the owner could replace it every time it rains.
 
Looks like a storm trooper designed it. Very nice though.
