JZS 147 VS. Y33

First off, I'd like to say how great VSC is. I've been browsing the 
various threads enjoyably. I'm new to the VIP scene, so bare with me lol. 

Going back to the thread title, I am just curious if anyone has driven 
both and can do a comparison or who can point me in the right direction. 
I am in the market for a new car and these two fit in my mid-k price range. 
I'm looking for more of a freeway cruiser, so I'd want minimal road noise and a smooth ride. 

I use to own a first gen GS (it got totaled thanks to a 
speeding m3 :madgo:), so I know how they drive. But 
I was wondering that maybe the Y33 would fit my needs better.


Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Y33 has shit gas mileage. Haha. Like 15-18 mph. Sorry I don't know what that is in kilometers or liters. But I love the way it drives

Welcome. The y33 is a great freeway cruiser. It's big, comfy, and has plenty of power as well. Like VI IX stated, the gas mileage is pretty crappy. 17-18 for me if I do a lot of street driving, 20 if I am on the highway. 

I say y33, but then again I'm biased.

Yeah I'm biased too. Even after driving my boys GS I still think the y33 has a more luxuriuos feel to it. Even in the drive. The only reason why i'd get a GS is to do a supra swap. =)

You're best bet may be to test em out yourself, and see what YOU like. It is gonna be your car.

Alot of Y33 fans out there. 

I checked one out the other day and am pretty
impressed, but didn't get around to a test drive.

I'll chime in for the GS. It was a solid car, slow, 
bad mpg, but gotta love the styling for its time.

i owned a jzs147 for a little over 3 years...
in my opinion its a good car probably is a lot
more reliable than the y33.. but if you're comparing the
two its totally wrong.. its like comparing a corolla to an accord..
its 2 different classes.. y33 has much more room and it's also
a much bigger car.. the y33 is the infinity top dog where as the gs
is always one under the LS400.. 

i like y33's a lot but research out the maintence on that car before
you dive into one.. check out nico
