What did I get myself in to...

Well, here I am. My name is Daryl and my gf just bought a 08 Mazda5.
I am a huge fan VIP cars and yes I am aware this isn't one. 
My goals are with this car are simple. Convincing my gf to do all this to her new pride and joy......not so simple.

To give an idea, this is my canvas....

Yeah its a minivan. But it is actually very small, comparable in size to a 1st gen Odyssey.

It does have potential to look good though. Here is a few examples...

Ill be using this site/thread as sort of my progress report.

So far I havent done much. Tint and HIDs is all really.

Anyway, Next on the list....
Ride height needs to be adjusted.
Wheels will come right after.
Aero.

I came here to get your guys expertise on wheel fitment. I know what I want for fitment and believe you guys can help me achieve it from your experience.

I cant think of much else to say right now so I will update accordingly.

I was thrilled when i found out this car has a 5x114 lug pattern.:biggthumpup:
Im really leaning towards the Ordens but im not sure how much of a lip I will be able to squeeze in the well. So that makes me lean towards the concave MRRs.

Any info on these wheels I should now about? Im all ears.

Also removed the front plate holder, illegal here in CA, but this is a minivan and prolly invisible to cops, so I guess ill find out sooner or later.
Also removed the stupid side moldings on the door.

Things going through my mind ATM:
Factory skirts
Blacked out headlights and tail lights.

Its weird really. I was sort of surprised with it. It seats 6 people believe it or not and only has one rival here in the states which is the Kia Rondo. And thats not much competition, lol.

Its more like a Wagon with sliding doors. You can see the giantness of the Odyssey compared to it.

So yeah..... once its lowered it will look pretty damn good.

oh wowo thats a tiny car, older premacys are huuuuuuuge comparing to this.

theres a few member on here with those. 
got some wheels and kits. looks legit.

IMO, the OEM rear spoiler and side skirts really add a lot to the look. The fogs are a big plus too.

Also, are you on mazdaV.com? I actually go by the name suPremacy over there lol

dont go too wide in the rear. the slider doors will hit the wheels

Agree 100% the factory spoiler and skirts are ideal for me. I actuall just score a set of skirts from a salvaged 5. so spoiler next.
Also I am very interested in the fogs and will prolly do that very shortly.

I dont think I could convince the old lady to go that wide anyway.

Slide the door open and check it...

just make custom hinges to clear.

big difference in the price of the first two wheels and the last one. shop wisely
