San Jose/ Stolen Work Equip 01's

I had the wheels taken from my Scion xB on the morning of 2/17/2010. Car was in the driveway. It was left on a temporary wheel and a stock Honda jack.

Specs of the wheels
Work Equip 01
4x100
Front: 15x8.5 +6
Rear: 15x8.5 -22
Tires: 195/45 Federals

Pics!

I will offer a reward if a tip results in their return. I'm guessing the are gone for good, but want to make it as hard as possible for them to ever be sold or show up again.

Thanks in advance.

Good move though. Don't need people like that in the scene. I was taught that it's all about adding to, not taking away from. My condolences.

Good luck bud. A friend of mine has some Volk Te's stolen from him and he ended up getting them back a few months later. Rare ones, that's how he tracked them supposedly through forums and Craig's List of all places. Good luck and hang in there man.

...me 3.
I noticed a wobble a while back. Jacked my car up and took off my wheels to check it out and sure enough there were all kinds of needle looking indentions on my (Gorilla luggs) wheel locks. I'm assuming someone went after them with those Gator grips but they didn't get too far. Just enough to loosen the lugs so my wheels caused a violent wobble.

I can't put them on again. My rears had the o-disk for drum brakes. These guys ran them on disc brakes and put gouges in the aluminum. Also jacked up the lug area pretty good. I just had the work lugs on.

So they need to be refinished. I do have some Super Star Lowel's coming though. :D

Okay, here's the scoop..

Last week, someone with an AE86 got his Equip's stolen in San Jose as well. I seen his ad about it on Craigslist and hit him up. Let him know my situation and that I would keep an eye out for them.

He emailed me today and let me know something popped up on Craigslist. Got another email letting me know his friend was already on his way to check them out. Gave him my # and was contacted by his friend. Let him know what to look for just incase they were actually mine. The ad was fishy. They were asking $500 or trade for Rotas!!?! The offsets and tires were just so incorrect. Posting a Falken as a 195/45 when they don't even make that size. Posting a 15x9 -25 when WORK doesn't even make them. So I wait about 20 minutes and the guy gives me a call to let me know that the wheels were mine!! He said he was getting them and would meet up with me. A few minutes later he called me up and said he had them.

When he met up with the seller, he questioned the accuracy of the ad. They were suppose to be brand new as well as have Falkens. The seller just said he posted a picture he found online. He told the seller that he could probably tell him the actual offsets of the wheels without even looking at them. So he did and asked the seller how could he know that? The seller looked shocked. The guy started taking them from the sellers truck they were in and loaded them into his vehicle. The guy asked the seller where he got the wheels from? The seller said a friend. The guy asked if he could talk to the friend. The seller said the friend lived a few blocks away. The guy asked if the seller would call his friend and ask him to come over. The seller said they could go to the friend's house and he could follow. The guy told the seller that he would do that but it going to write down the license plate of the truck. He told the seller straight up that these wheels were stolen. So when he finished loading the last wheel, the seller jumped in his truck and split!!

I met up with him some time later and got the wheels back. Took them to a friends house though.

I already had a police report and called to give the info I got. Even with a license plate #, description of the person, and his cell phone #, they wouldn't do a thing about it. So I am trying to figure this out.

I would think I would be happy I got my stuff back, but I'm stressed out more.. Kind of worried they will be back. Just have to wait and see.

Yeah, I am grateful and lucky as hell to have gotten my wheels back.

What I would like is to nab one of these guys (or a few) so they get hit with a good 4-5 felony charges. That stuff is with them for life. Good bye any future job!! Not only that, but I could see them when I go to work. LOL . (Main Jail SJ)
