need help
ok going nuts here. Dont know what im doing wrong, but im tring to remove the front strut on my 97 q45t but just cant get it. Is it all one piece? Ive taken off the brakes and every thing just dont know whats left..:runcoold:

Taking the ball joint out isn't easy. I'm not sure if the strut is designed the same way as my F50 but I had to go buy a boll joint seperator and even after that I was banging on it forever and ripped the boot. Be safe and take it slow. Some have said bang on the side of the part where the ball joint goes into the bottom of the strut...but at the same time use a crowbar or pry bar to push the LCA downwards.... Also... if you can take the rotors off that would be a good idea.. I first did it with the rotor and hub still on it and it weighed a ton. This would be a good time to check the wheel bearings on the hub..
if you think you can't do it then stop and put everything back together and send it to a professional.
