Need some suggestions on tyres.

Hey guys just a quick question here. Now I am not a tyre wiz or anything, but I have a set of WORK wheels ill include the pic. Now they are 17x7 in the front and 17x8 in the back but tyre size on them is horrible as i have been told. 225/50/17. Now I know the wheels are small size and all, but they are just a temporary wheels untill i find a better and bigger set. But what i need to have an opinion on is what would be the possibly nicest set of tyres for  these wheels, making the rims look better?

I have been offered to fit the wheels with 225/45/17, any other suggestions?

what kind of look at your going for? do you want stretch? fat? skinny? 225/45/17 is not going to stretch, it's just going to be thinner due to a smaller sidewall. i don't know about nz but the aussies have some retarded law about the legal load bearing a tire has and how it cannot deviate below a certain point. it really all depends on what you want to do and what your'e willing to do to get there.

50series are for bigger cars...
and no need for stretch, so just go 225 45 17
