I would start with mine, but no recent pics yet (laughs)

Just about every single Japanese VIP car is on coilovers.  Air is getting a little more popular though but its still like 90% coilovers.

hmm I see.. so its just a American thing haha

Yea basically.  Those guys in Japan are very hardcore.  Although I would say the roads are better for the most part, at 1" off the ground, driving anywhere in the world is difficult.  At those heights, you need the super stiff spring rates that coilovers can offer.

I do notice that air is much more expensive in Japan then it is here though.  That may be part of the reason why it is not as popular.

I was thinking about it.. but i like my tire hight. If i were to go lower i would need to change tire hight to do it. My S14 use to be like that, and was a huge headache. I like the stance the Q is becoming.. but may go lower some time later.

Saying there are bad roads around your area isnt an excuse, because i am sure there are good roads too. I know which roads i can and cant take... Sometimes it takes longer to get where im going but its still faster than walking.
 
And if you REALLY have no good roads you can take, then you only have one option.

He drove it tucking rim all around all the way to Vegas and back. He told he he raised it up for Vegas and it was still lower than my car. Then when we got back he said he was gonna lower it some more and all of us said WTF.

What size wheels ya got hero??

not vip, but daily driven height, tucking 17s.  when i get my wheels in, the goal is to maintain this ride height so we'll see how that goes.  ill be notching the frame this weekend so i can lower the front some more.

Yeah Suzie's Sti is lower than my Q45 for sure. She takes some time getting out of our driveway.

Yeah man I tubbed the rears. If you open my trunk you can see the top of my rims lol.

Hahaha nice. I thought maybe G50's had deeper wheel wells. My tires rubbed inside when going into steep driveways with my old 18's. Once I stepped out to see how much wheel was tucking, and it looked like yours, but the car was sitting on that tire

Not if you just cut out that rear section and leave it as is. That's like a 15 min job, tops. It'll take more work gettin the car in the air than cutting out the wheel wells
