MLB refs make 120k-300k a year?!

Am I late on this or did you all know refs/officials make, on avg, 6 figures???  These mofos fly first class and can have food and hotel covered.  Not only that, they can make extra money from playing favors for certain team for money under the table! :runcoold:

They have to deal with players and coaches yelling in your face, spitting at you, fast balls flying at you (no homo).  Its a stressful job.  You need to be focused for the entire game.  Your mind can't doze off

yeah, it would be stress for sure.. and you cant be favor in for team or anything. I know a guy who does it for college and he gets yelled at all the time.. he said he is gonna go pro reff. But Also highly noted that you have to change clothes before you step out of the court or field before you are in the street, parking lot, or even anywhere near a fan

but they only get paid larger amount on big games. normal games they still get good figures but not as much a superbowls or championships ect. big events.

Thats one way to keep them focused on the not so important games.  Reward only the best ranked refs by getting to officiate a big game which pays big bucks.

I can't imagine how much a ref gets paid for a superbowl/finals gig!

the worst players on the team get a minimum 440k a year.  They may only play 1/3 of the games.  Why not pay the officals and refs less then that?  Especially since they play all 162 games and every single play at that.

That fact is they're all jusy 'playing'.
None of them worth the money they get paid.

I know of assistants who just put things on the calendar's who make way more then that lol.  Baseball is a billion dollar business, let the ref's make some money
