without a question...I got megans on my 2nd gen LS so I quess I will just buy some for the Max. Loaded up the car with a bunch of people and the rears barely clear...maybe 5mm room...after I cut the rear fenders that is. Anyone do a Maxima yet can't find anything using the search function.

Looks like a good start on the 6th gen. I'm with BLK, I'm not crazy about the styling, but that's a nice set of wheels.

Can those Ksports get lower?

Hey bro, I just was lurking around the site and came to this thread. I just started to do things on my 07 maxima when I got back from deployment and was inspired to just try out a more cleaner theme.

Not exactly what most would call VIP, but a well done maxima in my book. One of my personal favorites as far as the 6th generation (04-07) goes.

Wheels are 22x9.5 +38. Pretty High offset I know, but it works with the style he went for. Too bad the car was parted out.

Ordered the Ksport replacement struts for the coilovers and they should be here in a few weeks. I am gonna see how low I can drop this thing before my gf starts complaining about it...and some 55w 8000k HIDS on there way too. I think I may need spacers on the fronts, the rears are fine with the 245/35's and have about 2mm clearance.

Simple and clean. What sizes are the wheels? Just curious because I'm so used to 20" on 6th gens because that's what people (including myself) usually run, and I'm starting to feel like 20" is a little too big, especially without a body kit.

Thanks. Hmm, right now I'm running 20x8.5 +17 (with 15mm spacer) and 10.5 +30, with 225/35 and 255/35. I have some 20x8.5 +30 (would like to use 20mm spacer) and 10.5 + 25, probably want to stick with 225/35 fronts, most likely gonna have to change my rear tire size, not sure if I should go with 245/35 or 265/30.

The front is what's keeping me from considering 19's. I'm trying to reduce the wheel to fender gap, but like you said the front subframe is a problem. It sucks because even if the subframe is 1" off the ground, the car doesn't even look that low lol. If I drop to 19's, I'll have to lower the car even more, which I really don't want to do since I already have problems with this car as is. This car doesn't offer much, but I'm trying to make lemonade.

I would stick with 35 series for the back unless you are rubbing the bemper tab...Dont forget to shave that bolt down. Fronts..I'd say go wider rim like9-10 and like 235 because of the front wheel drive. Your gonna want the traction.

I'd love to do at least a 9.5" front, but I bought a used set of wheels so unfortunately I'm stuck with the 8.5's. On the 8.5" I don't want to go any smaller than 225/35, and I want the rears to match a little more. The 225/35 sidewall is 78.75mm, the 245/35 is 85.75mm, and the 265/30 is 79.5mm, but I'm not sure how much the stretch affects the sidewall height.

I've already trimmed the fender liner and shaved the rear bumper tab down, as well as some of the bumper lip. I think I'm going to have to shave my fenders and more of the bumper lip for the new wheels.
