STRANGEST THING HAPPENED TO MY LEXUS!

imagine ur in ur ucf/10 n ur lookin at ur dash..u see the letters P R N D 2 L.now lets say you driving and of course ur car will be in D for Dive.but heres when the strange thing happens.when u slow down and hit the break the letter R lights up...wtf is goin on????

My friend had this same problem and that was the fix.

i just noticed also when im just parked & the car is on.i hear a small knock where the shifter is when i step on the break...

^^ Somehow that knock started to happen to my car too. Weird but it still functions. Tell me if you figure out how to fix that knocking noise where the shifter is..

That's normal. That's the solenoid that releases the shifter out of park when u hit the brakes

no its not going bad, its normal. mine makes that sound also usually when the car rolls back a little bit and it pushes up against the Park mechanism. if u engage the ebrake before shifting to park, u'll prolly wont hear that noise again.
