Mixing Brands.

N00B Question:

Is there a particular 'VIP-ness' associated with keeping everything the same brand, or is it common practice to mix and match?

For example, I've already purchased the Gaston DAD Glitter knob, a DAD Glitter emblem, and a DAD starter ring...does adding Junction Produce pillows, curtains, and neck pads cause a 'clash' or not?

I don't think it causes a clash... i know we try to keep things the same brand. but there isn't much out there that we can get the same brand. as long as the items you put aren't tacky and ppl can tell the difference then you might have a problem... 
 
but in this case i don't think mixing will clash...

that stuff IMO would clash but outside stuff wouldnt
example i have a nardi steering wheel and a keys shift knob

I think as long as it follows the same "lines" of the other parts.

There's nuthin wrong w/ mix matching. I wanted to mix match kits for a min. 
It is dope to say you have all one brand but in the end as long as it all flows that's all that matters. I found out judges at shows don't even care when u tell them you got all the same parts......well they don't w/ me :420yawn:
 
Bottom line, it's jus bragging rights to say you have all one brand/complete car.....

im saying no.. i love JP n garson so i mixd up my interior JP fusa (of course) and hip/neck pads, Garson curtains, carmate table, n ill be going to garson for my shifter n cyrstal vent louvers and start ring, as pancakes said long as it flows all together your good, plus i like some variety with my ls i dont wanna be a compleaty JP ***** =)

Mixing and customizing kits with other brands in Japan is very popular,

But personally with interior parts it will look too ricey with garson DAD and Junction Produce parts in there together let alone by themselves.

I hardly even see cars in Japan with interior accessories like these anymore.. Only full retrims..

As other stated. 
nothing worng with mixing and matching in the end it has to do with style.
 
either it will look good or it wont.

clashing would be the only issue I see... 

Judges don't care from what I have seen either.
