m45/y34 in guam

greetings from the pacific! been on the forums for a while but haven't been posting...my wife just got an 06 GS300 with some thangs so im running her old 19's. i've been running teins for a year while saving for JIC coilovers but wasn't happy with the drop, so i cut one coil off the front and rear. ride quality was still like stock! wanna go lower though...

hafa adai chris!! loving the car!im still saving up for my wheels and suspension also. This summer after the wedding i will be ordering them! def want to check out the car when i get back home!! theres quite a few kats rolling the Y34 on here alot of good info!! cant wait to see what else you got in store for her!!

Looks good. Plan on cutting the front to match the rears? Check my thread out "my wanna be y34". I cut a coil off the front. I'm on espiler springs. So I'm probably going to cut a coil from the rear and probably another coil or just half in the front. Hoping it won't ride like shit.

shaolin, i saw the thread...looks good.  i cant say for sure about the espilers, but on teins there is NO difference in ride quality...i wanna even it out up front though.  my only fear is bottoming out and blowing my struts!

Nice Y34!  Definitely cut the fronts more, I'm also on Tein's and I did, and like you said, it rides like stock still! My front is as low as your rear, and my rear is about the same as yours, in other words: my front and rear drop equals the same fender gap,  lol. You should be able to go down another inch in the front and it should match the rear.

If you are interested in Buddy Club c/o's, there's a set in the USA at Buddy Club, I can put you in contact with the rep. I'd like to get them, but I'm tapped out from buying the car, fixing a few things and doing the other things I've done so far.

in the first set of pics, the front and rear have only one coil cut off.  in the new pics, i cut only half a coil more in the front.

Thanks!  I thought the front looked a little lower.  What made you decide to only cut another 1/2 coil instead of a full?

I see :D   Well I just bought some 20s again and need to get cutting.   Would you say you could do another half coil on the front now?

Definately not! With 20's i still rub the liners when i hit a dip in the road. If i cut a full coil, it'll touch for sure! 19's will clear though. Front and rear fenders had to be rolled, and 10inch rear needed a little stretch to clear.

Whoa okay thanks.  Since I am full of questions I may as well ask what are the specs of the wheels and tire sizes?  

I am going to have 245/35/20 but I am thinking of switching down to 225/35/20 for less diameter.

If you're going to cut another coil do that first and then see how bad the rubbing is, if it rubs at all. No need to run a stretched tire unnecessarily. Doesn't look right.
