To people who have cut TEIN Springs.

How much did you cut off the front and back? Also do you have pictures?

Thanks,
Dom.

i have been running teins on my 04 m45 for over a year and was not content with the drop. it was too subtle...i cut exactly one coil (one full coil and cut where the coil began) so it will seat properly. sorry no step by step pics, but here is the result:

you may wanna go 2 coils up front to even out with the rear. no bounce, still same ride quality as if they weren't cut. should be the same with your Q's teins

This just scares me a little. I've seen stupid low Hondas around with cut suspension bouncing all over the road, and thats a 2500 pound car, not a land barge like we drive.

I had cut springs on my G50 for a good month and they were a little bouncy. They had a hard hit because it will always bottom out the shock everytime I hit a big bump or hole.

hmm. you look a little lower in the rear than the front.:pat: My personal opinion with cut springs on this car (Y34) and any car for that mater is that it was a shitty ride. Cutting springs is a bad idea in the long run. Your camber will suffer and tires aint cheap. Those bad habits from the honda civic and acura integra days are still alive and kicking with some of you.:giggity:

Cut them youll be fine i have an LS 400 with Tanabe's which i cut 1 coil in the front and 2 in the rear just cut exactly where the first coil ended. The ride quality is still the same due to the fact that it is a heavy car im tucking wheel now and have had no problems with it and ive had them on for like a year now.

Die grinder works too.

I don't think I'll bother cutting mine for now.
