Air Runners are in on the M45

Well the install is finally done thanks to Doug at East Coast Garage and the Boys at The Audio Revolution in Orlando. It was really a bolt on install but as Doug so aptly said “Don’t say anything is easy”. The full tech article is on the I ran off and did a quick photoshoot of the ride sitting proper.

Which specific air runner kit did you get? And how much did it cost you for the kit and installation?

I added the info to the post but here it is. According to my installer he said he would charge $1500 to $1600.

Nice write up!  Can you add a youtube video to show it in action while driving and from an outside view.

I will have the YouTube up tommorow along with the detailed write up on the install. I will document specifics for the y34 as far as line routing and suspension removal etc.

The ride is awesome. I have it on a pretty stiff setting on the shocks and it's 200% better than the springs were. I need to test it a bit more but I love it so far.

the drop looks nice but man the guage set up in the interior isnt lookin so good. I think the shop could have put forth more effort in making the set up a little nicer inside. looks kinda cheap imo

That was the only place they really fit. We did the install in one day so we did not have time to do a custom panel to house them. I am going to have them redone and glassed but I am probably going to have to redo all my wood since matching would be near impossile.

 you could probably get real close with water trasfer printing.
 
what i would have done is factory finish a pillar gauges.

I thought the lower and less in your face area in the day would look a little more classy. I think of race cars and more tuner applications when i think of pillar gauges.

The water transfer will be my first option when the panel is done. I may change all the wood for kicks since I will be paying to have it done anyway. I never liked how my shifter was lighter than all the other wood. I am thinking of this a darker wood or even a less colorful wood. I like 12-10 and 076-10.
