just rear curtains on a 2gs...

what do you guys think of just rear curtains...and id be daily driving the car, a few of my friends said it would look good, since im going with the VIP look of tinted rear windows and clear front windows...so i want rear curtains, and no curtains up front..

do you think itll look weird??? and how would it be with blind spot??? also how do the curtains react when the front windows are down do they fly all over the place or anything, will post pictures once i get my tid bits on.

lol rear curtains would make you look like a chauffeur. as a look, it works, but the connotation is that you're the "help"

yeah i agree with you on that one. but not sure how i feel about curaints up front and curtains in the rear. not sure if i should just tint all around and call it a day and try and go for the exe look. 

issue is how do the curtains act with the windows down, and are they practical for daily driving.

This is a silly thing to waste your time and bandwidth pondering out loud about.  Get the important things down first (stance and ze fitment), than ponder thy life away.

those are last on my list, cause im doing air bags and some sort of rare jdm wheels and exhaust at the end

taking care of inside and exterior tid bits  (not in any specific order) 
1. Puddle lights
2. Illuminated Door Sills 
3. Side view Mirrors with signal/puddle lights 
4. Neck Pads 
5. Tsuna 
6. Retro Fit headlights
7. Led Tails or 98-00 removal of amber 
8. LED interior 
9. L-tuned grill or other type along those lines. 
10. roof spoiler 
11. change rear spoiler after i tired of the look to a 3 piece or just a flush trunk with roof spoiler

maybe's 

1. Curtains 
2. maybe a table in the rear seats (need to figure out how to fab one) 
3. maybe front JP table (other half doesnt want on on her side, so probably skipping)
4. some sort of kit

you can do everything else first, but your car is going to look stupid retarded with all the interior and exterior bits done up, and still 4x4 with sunk wheels.

I had front curtains on the car for a while but I also did the suspension and kit and everything else first ;P

I'm going with my ride is nil until it's 100% done.

yup it's going to be nil until 100% done with it.
But it's the order I'm following as I've built a few cars ground up and this was has worked for me several times.

well it only looks like time will prove both of you wrong. so much for coming to a warming community, lol.

we are VERY warming, you just refuse to take our advice.  I will not eat my words, ever.  why?  because what i said will ALWAYS stand.  tsunas, curtains, and neckpads will not make you VIP, and the route at which you are taking your build is in my opinion, in the wrong order.  when you all have are those items with no wheels or suspension, you will not be vip.  in the end you may be vip, but i never said that you wont ever reach that goal, just that youre going about it all wrong.

being unreceptive will in fact cause us to be less "warm" or receptive ourselves believe it or not.  Why help someone who doesnt want it?  

I would give you my whole deal about how I went about it the wrong way and got a bunch of little things first, and now later I realize that and want to help others think about that and avoid my mistakes.  But something tells me your not worth all that trouble... why?  why should i even bother if your just letting it go out the other ear?  Try to listen with both ears so the ideas will collide in the middle and maybe stick in that head of yours for awhile. =)


Anyway do your thing man, but if you dont really care about wheels/suspension, im afraid youll have a hard time keeping yourself amused on this website.

since we all like pictures i assume, heres a picture of my weekend car. 
totaled the white whale (white b5 s4) and bought myself an avant and swapped over a few things from the white whale.

building a VIP ride is not even remotely like building any other car. wheels, stance, and fitment = 95% of the game. you should be worried about that before all else.

maybe you will surprise us after all. maybe not. we'll all find out one day.:shrug:

oh yea, about the rear curtain only thing, i seen a ls400 cruisin' with only rear curtains and it looked dope.

Try it and see what you think. You might be surprised. 

Most of our customers do all 4 windows, but you might like just 2 done.

talking about the "curtains" i love them really sets your car apart from the rest, i have rears want to get fronts but as every one has said coils/air n wheels r the 2 BIGGEST things i did a few of the interior things but i really need coils n wheels u can only take the stock look for so long lol
