G50, rough to riches build

Primer tomorrow, was trying to do it tonight, but spent alot of time getting the wheels to fit and get the height adjusted properly. 

A set of blown kei office coils came with the car, got a set of GABs off my buddy, made a mix n match for the rear with GAB struts, 1 collar, no helpers, KEI springs(1" shorter than gab) . Fronts Ill switch to the GABs when I get the lower strut mount bored out slightly to fit. 

Spent the first couple days of the week doing a full black interior swap. Everything including dash, blah blah, should be done and nice and clean in a couple days here.

Fitment is perfect!

How big are those adapters?

+1 on what size adapters you have and what brand.

They are 16mm. The PO had them machined down. Good thing he did, its a pretty tight fit on stock arms.

Primers done, gotta wetsand then lay some paint down.

Haha, the air was actually pretty clear at that stage. It was horrible during clear. 
Couple little issues to work out in the morning, but then off to Cali. 

Haha, just checked and we are doing a 5839 km round trip. I have faith in the G50.

Wow that's 3628 miles. 

What are the tire specs(brand/size)?

i dont think those coils were blown... if you think they were because you saw oil on one... that was gear oil from trying to loosen up the threads

Iono if  you got the idea from seeing my old seutp. But if not..this is what it will look like basically. I had this setup something like 2 years ago.

thats what im talking about... garage paint jobs... wish i only had an enclosed garage... i got an open garage but only spray jambs out in the open... looks sick.. need more pics please...

that fitment is niiiiiiice, im looking towards the same wheels for my ride too... i was curious if the bmw centerpieces come off at all?

Well, just got back from the trip. Car was great. Other than a little issue with a broken rear toe arm bolt right at the border, a crazy snow storm, and wearing through a pair of tires, it ran great. Scraped a hole in the exhaust in San fransico, but Ill get it patched up soon here.

Haha,  this year, Im fortunate enough to have a truck to borrow tho!


Picked up some JIC FUCAs for $40, so Im gonna toss those in, space out the front a little bit more. My kei office up front are blown to shit, so I gotta drill out my spare GABs and get them fit up front.

I need new pics!
