Genuine UCF10 fitment question.

hey guys,

got a two part question.

1. looking at 19X10 +19, and 19X11 +11 for my UCF10. I am pretty comfortable with getting my head around offsets, but is this just going to be pushing the envelope too much? i dont want to wreck the gaurds. 

pretty safe with the fronts. its the rears i'm worried about. 

rimtuck is showing this car has 8mm more agressive in the rear but it looks pretty out there to me - too far out of the body for my liking. is this an accurate representation of what they'd end up looking like do you think???

2. there is a UCF20 on rimtuck running these numbers, and swallowing the rims easy. i know the UCF20 is a completely redesigned shape, but does that also mean they take lower offsets more easily? ie. a UCF20 fits lower offsets than a UCF10??

I couldnt find any LS' running 10's & 11's on Rimtuck.
As long as you're comfortable with a fender roller you should be able to get them to fit.

it'll fit if you make it fit (not too much work).
 
i would be surprised if the 20 couldn't take a few more mm's (no homo) then the 10.

like BoB said..these will fit with a shave and a minor pull.

hmm ok. i'm taking ur guys word for it. but if it looks like this i'll be unhappy!!! hehe.

something i've noticed is the rear has a steep cmaber curve. those are poking a lot because he's relatively high (tein springs iirc).
 
whats your suspension setup.

suspension will be coilovers, probably 22kg fronts 18kg rears. stock camber arms. maybe tanabe super form coilovers. 
 
that white liberty club UCF on schwertz is 3mm more agressive in the rear. much body work done on that? hard to tell from the photo angles. got any looking straight down the side of the car?  i dont want duckbill gaurds....

he's got a nice size pull (in progress) but if you're not wanting to do that there's other ways of making it fit or you can go less aggressive.

curious to hear more on these 'other ways to make em fit'!!!?
 
and, narrowest tyre on an 11" - 245??

i really don't want to ruin the beautiful lines of my LS400.....but.....11 inch rears are going to look PHAT.

well if you want to stuff the 11 without modiing the body much you should be looking for offsets +25-30. a lot of people cringe at high offsets but what fits fits, offset is just a product of width and proper bakspacing. i'm a stock body fan myself so if i was custom ordering something this would be what i would be looking at.

i'm running +30 on 10.5's in the rear and i needed a roll and pull

if you dont want to mod at all i think youll have to go even higher like +35 or so, even with any kind of drop i bet you would at least have to roll the fenders a bit.

heres an 11.5 +17 on the rear of my ls400, poke is alittle under 2 inches, but with some eastwood love, stretched tires and camber im confident i can make it fit.  I hope this helps your decision too.

i came up with +30 based of my specs which came out like this (also calculated inner clearance):

variables will be height and geometry. a roll/shave and stretch is mandatory.

his specs are perfect for his body work...if he had air, hed be perfect aired out.

whats the tyre width on that brandicus? are they 18's or 19s? 
 
those offsets and width put my rims at EXACTLY the same point outside the gaurd. 
 
it looks like a fair bit of work......
 
hmm....well, i think i'm going to push ahead with it, and if they don't fit they don't fit and i sell them on.

so really, what you can't achieve with a roll and pull - u can get to fit by just dropping it lower and getting them to camber in.
 
much scrubbage, LilCelsior?? ur setup is 3mm more agressive than mine or brandicus. did u crack the paint bad???

look at the lip of his fender where it meets the wheel, he did crack his paint but he took his time and its barely noticeable,  its more than likely youll need a respray after this kind of work.

err tires in the pic were  275/40/18,  they came with the wheels and i have no intention of trying to use them on my setup.  I should note that I slightly pulled my fenders awhile ago so i would use my poke as a rough estimate.

bottom line is its doable... but not on stock body

yea the fendor is bound to crack but my sloppy fender cutting messed it up totally.

hmm yeh i'm getting the picture. well,  i'm picking these rims up prettyy cheap so  i'll get em on with the narrowest tyre i can manage (245??) and see how they line up. 
 
if its going to be too much body work, then i'll just move em on at cost and try again. 
 
i do a fair bit of mileage so i probably can't be going hyper extreme......but it's all about compromise right!?

with your specs of 19X10 +19, and 19X11 +11. my fronts poke out 1mm more than the specs you are looking at, actually better for you.... in the rear, my wheels poke out 8mm more than the wheel specs you are looking at... in short, the wheels you want wont look like mines cuz like you said, if it looks like this you will be unhappy....:biggthumpup: just messing... but im also running max camber on the stock rear arms in the rear, i also rolled and pull the rear arches to the max and flare it out BUT body worked it to make it look stock... the fronts i trimmed the inner lip of the fender then fiberglassed the back to re-enforce the fender.. good luck to you..

but it's probably worth mentioning that i'm from australia, and over here the cops walk around with a notepad and little yellow labels that say 'defective vehicle' - and put it this way......they go through a lot of notepads. 
 
rims hanging out the body work is pretty much waving a red rag to a bull. they have general track increase maximums, but another one is wheels outside the body line.....i think its a rock throwing hazard....

I have a 10.5 +24 on the back of my UCF20 and I still need a 5mm spacer for flushness. I've only rolled the fender lips with an Eastwood fender roller.... maybe a slight slight pull as well.

yer but i'm starting to get the impression that the UCF20 has the same suspension underpinnings, but a bigger body.
 
so they can take lower offset rims.

Im running 19x9 -3 offset and 19x10 +9 rear. 225/35 on fronts and 235/35 on rear shaved the rears flat , rolled and pulled the fronts for turning. Megans are all the way down in the back and fronts can go lower.
