#314359Wheel prep, undoing what others don't know how to do.
I am putting this up for Shawnthemonster.I bought a set of Advan wheels as you will see down below. When I purchased them second hand the powder coat was pealing in some areas. Mainly around the ring, assuming the powder coaters did a good job of prep.. well it was a great assumption but totally incorrect.
They Powder coated over the original paint of the wheel!!! who does this?? Doesn't anyone know you cant?? such retards.. and not to offend anyone who is a retard and does this.. but if any of you lurk this forum who do powder coat wheels this way, look out for my big ass sedan hitting your uneducated powder coating ass!
I stripped the wheel down with Paint peeler after using a air nozzle to try and lift all the latex paint (rolls eyes) a lot of it stuck, so it had to be done.. and risking the beautiful finish underneath.
After this I spent about mm... i dunno 6 hours a wheel. Granted I didn't want to do it half ass like the prior people before me, and well you know how I am about now.
Using a wire wheel after the paint peeler wouldn't do anymore:
