power question (for those with air)
so for those of you with air and a sound system did you have to do anything special for your power needs? i have 2 viair air compressors (the ones that came with the universal air kit) and will be installing 2 amps (600 and 500 alpine amps). will i run into problems? and if so how do i remedy them?

u can run extra battery. or update your alternator to a higher amp. to compensate quickly to the amp draw on those compressors....

so how many people that replied have a similar air setup and a decent stereo setup? i know i can add a battery and in order to do that i have to get my alternator rewound. i was just curious tho what others have done....
how about upgrading to a bigger, higher amperage universal alternator?
how much does it usuallly cost to rewind a alternator?

You don't have to have your alternator rewound to add a second battery.
Check out caraudioforums.com A lot of people there add extra batteries to their sound systems and they can probably help guide you better.
Personally, I think you'll need to upgrade your alternator if you wanna keep the voltage constant (VERY important for the safety of your amps). Once that is done, an extra battery will help for when your compressors kick in.
For batteries, look into Deka, Kinetik or XS Power. Good luck.
