My xB (Updated with Euroline pics page 2)

This is just a picture to show what my car DID look like.  Its being overhauled this winter.  (got new rims, new lip, new sides, and some other subtle touches).    Lemme know what ya think though!   That is my daily driving height btw on coilovers!    (Itll be EXE/VIP with new rims and look!)

Re: Pictures of my xB! (56K prolly not)

thanks! yea stereo hits 141 db right now, and still not fully tuned. i cant wait to finish the car up!

Wheels are a set of Work Euroline Ns 17x8, 25 offset. I havents handled them yet, because I sent them to my parents house instead of mine for storage purposes. I had them measure it out, and they said its right at 3" of lip on them, so Im guessings its O-disks.

Ill need some small spacers, but itll be all good for the EXE look. Im probably not gonna go camber since its a daily driver. At most, Ill do -3 rear, and -1.75 front. Just keep it clean and luxurious without getting too crazy. Hopefully itll live up to VIPstyle standards!

Re: Pictures of my xB! (56K prolly not)

you won't need to space out the wheels for an EXE look. especially at +25 O-disc. They'll be rather flush anyway. the rear negative camber will then make them look funny. I know cuz i installed my front wheels on the back. the looked silly with the camber. Check the Pandora bB to see how they will look with those sizes and offsets.

Re: Pictures of my xB! (56K prolly not)

Thanks all! Ill keep everyone updated 8)

Jim, whats the offset of your fronts? How flush were they for rear? For spacer, I was gonna either rock a 5mm spacer, or a 10mm shim. Ive been going through the bB bibles I have, and it seems like most are right around what I have or so. Theres a couple of bBs in there with pretty much exactly what I have . (of course Pandora like you said). Lets hope I wont have to do camber. The fenders are rolled flat so I shouldnt need to.

Thanks JBO. :) When Im home for thanksgiving Ill get some pics of the fully fiberglassed (ready to bondo) engine cover. Doesnt look as ghetto as my pic. ;D I just couldnt find anything that worked well for my car in terms of engine bay covers, since I didnt want the stainless one that costs a fortune. Gotta DIY!

Re: Pictures of my xB! (56K prolly not)

thats the wonderful diff. between Cali and places like Nebraska :) Theres no real fear of that here and it realistically wont happen. Ive never had a car broken into, stolen, or any of that. I honestly dont know anyone in person here thats had a car stolen. I probably will move my amp, but its not really a thing thats worried about here. Unless you brag about it or something, its not gonna happen. One of the few perks of living in nice ole midwest.

Re: Pictures of my xB! (56K prolly not)

Thanks Shawn! In that pic it was the TCsportline kit (rip off of the JDM Parto-D) Its sitting in the garage as we speak however. I was given a broken TC sportline for basically free, so I did my own thing and have my own custom lip :)

Yea Dominik I guess it does sound a little crazy when you put it like that. lol. Im all for drive it like you show it though, and I like to roll low. Ive become pretty good with fiberglass over the years, so if I do break it, I can always fix it and respray no problem. Then again, the xB is unlike a lot of others. Even as slammed as I am, a lot of my major engine components and things of that nature arent very low. Its relatively safe aside from the bumper and sides getting fiberglass cracked. (which hasnt happened yet on my car oddly). Im lucky in that respect, as I wont damage anything major most likely. Cambered tires though... probably something I cant fix with fiberglass and body filler :2funny:

Yea that is friggin low!! I'm assuming you have coilovers right? Which ones? With my air i can get that low but it would be a rough ass ride (that's why i'm assuming your not on air). I wish i could roll that low!! It's sweet, will look nice with the other wheels you speak of 8)

Re: Pictures of my xB! (56K prolly not)

Jtanoyo, it seems really low, but its weird for me to roll up next to a vette and still sitting lower it seems than me. Its all on perspective of how low the actual seat is. I do hate rolling up to lifted trucks and seeing my head right at the level of their lug nuts :o Scary thought in a crash.

Kairojya, im rocking Progress coilovers right now. Its crazy because I still have room to go. They slam the hell outta it. Lays no problem with the 16" betas pictured. Im trying to get a set of tires ordered so I can throw them on and at least get a pic during xmas time if possible. Im getting so giddy wanting to put them on! ;D

Hey Rico, its me Scionscotty.  Progress are pretty decent ride.  I would consider the ride (at most heights) to be better than my old DF210s.    Pretty forgiving.  In terms of handling, theyre weak as hell.    They arent too stiff so theres a lot of lean it seems the more I ride.    Theyre definetly not as good in teh corners as the Dfs.    Shocks in the back I have Monroe 5870s.   Give good ride and allow nice slammage in the back while retaining the ride quality.    Tires Im probably going to go 205/40/17s.   I had them on my 17s before, and the ride wasnt too jarring.   Never bent a wheel or anything.   Just gotta find a good brand to go with.   Any suggestions?

Rasrx7, id think about it if i already didnt have my Euroline Ns.     GL on sale!

For all those asking, heres the link to the pics of my new rims! :smitten:

Thanks Miguel! I know Big Bang/402 customs has a widebody chameleon painted B, but definety not my style. Its the only one I know thats decently modified in the state.

To answer your question, naw no winter beater.   Serves double duty as show car/winter trasher.   :'(

I also want to add, that Miguel (the saint) is one of the reasons Im even into VIP styling in the first place!! I want to give you props for that. I really liked the look when I saw some of the pics on the internet, but it wasnt until the day I met up with you, picked up both bB bibles and boo boo door locks, that I got crazy about it and knew I had to go VIP/EXE! Props to Miguel! :)

Re: My xB (Updated with Euroline pics page 2)

Thanks everyone!

17x8 25 offset Work Euroline N. Also, theyre O-disk all around. Theyre on a set of Falken Ziex 512 205/40/17s. Suspension is Progress automotive coilovers. I think 10 mm spacing in back should be good. :)

Re: My xB (Updated with Euroline pics page 2)

Lookin' good man. Definately smoothen out the sides and add those spacers; then assess the grille situation after you've done those things. Your ride has come a long way and it looks pretty clean.

Re: My xB (Updated with Euroline pics page 2)

instead of a spacer.
get spacer shims.
it'll space it out 10mm without u losting any turns on the studs!

Re: My xB (Updated with Euroline pics page 2)

Yea thats what I kinda figured Id do. I meant to put shims. Should give me a good fitment, without having to run any camber. (Im pretty low so I rub on dips now. Just gotta fully roll fenders). BTW Joey, this is Sexyscionlover from SL (before I got banned) ;) (Scionscotty on all other sites).

Re: My xB (Updated with Euroline pics page 2)

I had eyelids and wasnt a fan of them, so I wont be back to those. I do like the Open Deck grille, but price kills me and its getting played out. When you say white, not powdercoating the billet white. But getting a flat faced grille and doing that white right? Im open to quite a few ideas. Im not a fan of my current front end. THanks

Looking real nice. Spacer shims should do the trick. Im thinking a white grill would look nice too.

Re: My xB (Updated with Euroline pics page 2)

You could do the stock grill in white. fill or change it as you want. I continue to use mine as billet won't work for the look anyway. And the stock grill keeps the engine a little cleaner.
