cut out cardboard circles about 2 inches larger in diameter than your rim to cover the front faces. wrap in a few layers of shrink wrap, tape it up to make sure its super secure, and youre good to go. ive shipped rims without tires the same way, but using bubble wrap (and lots of it)under the shrink wrap, and creating a shell with cardboard all around the barrel. cost me about 150 with a commercial ups account, iirc
aite... koo thanks adrian
Never like shipping like that. I boxed mine up using large boxes from a fridge and an oven. But U can get some boxes from Uhaul and cut to fit.
I have shipped wheels like spyder too ... I wouldn't ship wheels like A said Just incase ...
just insure it and you should be good to go...plenty of ppl ship it like that. finding big enough boxes is such a pain in the ass for rims + tires. if you think about it, what can go wrong with it? cardboard protects the lip, tire protects the barrel.
