Led dome/license/interiordoorlight sizes for a fgy33?

Does anyone know what size leds that i can just plug into the domelights, license plate light, and sidelights inside the door For a 1997 infiniti q45? Or do i just have to solder some leds with resistors?

you don't have to use any resistors tho. I did mine and works fine for 2 years now.
mine is 1997 y33 anyway.

www.luxurymods.com has plug and play LED boards. They are super bright and universal. That's what I have on my GS. The color is pure white with no hint of blue too.

Those LED boards are interesting. I wonder if custom LED tailights could be made without too much effort.

I searched on the Sylvania replacement guide with no luck.

The domes are a BA9S bulb, rears are festoons (can't remember the dimensions, but not that large), door and license plate and under dash bulbs are 194's, the ashtray and glove box and overhead light (inbetween the domes) and window switch ambient light are all 74's. Hopefully this helps. For the 74's, I recommend getting the LED bulbs with the 3 LED's. Work much better than the single tip LED.

Don't trust the sylvinia guide, they have had wrong information more then a few times for cars i've owned. I understand you can't get it right 100% of the time but they were barely hitting 50%. It'll say on the bulbs themselves what size they are, if they are festoon you can measure for the size.

I have bought and used all kinds of LED's but the best by a wide margin are these:

They have 5 LED's and are bright as shit. I had them in everywhere on my GS and SEL they are the shit.

Those LEDs aren't very good. They're very primitive compared to the new stuff that is out now. I think they only cost a few cents now.

^ Do you have a pic of the better ones? I need some for my S500. I like the 5 pointed ones cause they disperse light evenly regardless of application. Where some LED's will make a funky pattern the 5 pointed ones seem to not.

I had the festoon versions 2 years ago and they were crap, so would it be correct to say they have gotten better? Also do you know if they have the resistors built in?

Festoon LED applications are usually crap. When I have a festoon bulb I need to swap out I usually use those universal LED boards instead. I think they have gotten much better over the years. I really like the Luxury Mods ones because they are very consistent in color. Similar to the new Lexus license plate lights. I've gotten very sick of buying LEDs from all different kinds of places and have none of them match. I'm sure they have resistors built in or else they wouldn't last very long.

maybe, maybe not. since they have started running larger numbers of leds i've seen some without resistors/diodes. my theory is the forward voltage adds up to more than the 14.4v they see so they should be underdriven. the problem is that voltage spikes kill leds and not all circuits are regulated.

smt is the way to go though because the dispersion paattern is much better, especially with side firing leds.
