Liberty BBQ May 30th Midland Beach, Staten Island NY

Liberty is celebrating our 1 year anniversary of being an official car club (although it was founded in 2008)

The location is In Midland beach last parking lot along Father Coppodanno Blvd in Staten Island NY 

Time: 11am-6pm.  You can arrive or leave when ever

We threw the first ever Liberty meet last year at this same parking lot and we had a huge turnout of 50-60 cars with just 2 weeks notice.  Hopefully this year, we can see more people and vip styled cars out.  You are not asked to bring anything but we won't turn down any help.

I will tell you right now, there will be a handful of new car debuts at this meet.  It should be a lot of fun.  Come out and meet the crew

Yes thats the place.  Its right on the beach (although, the water isnt the cleanest)

It is definitely going to be worth it.  Most shows or meets have 3-4 vip styled cars the most here on the east.  This meet will have 20-30 and everyone there will be somewhat into the scene.  It was purposely planned on memorial day weekend so even if the drive back is far, you have the next day off of work.

I'm not going to lie and say they are good because they are not.  Drive slow.  We got one of the strongest VW scenes here in the states and they all drive on coils, slammed.  Just be careful

This BBQ is a free be for the people.  If you plan to drive from the West coast, do it July 17th.  That will be the mother of all car shows in the US.  Only VIP styled cars are allowed in for that one.  Details coming soon . . .

Nooo dont do it that weekend! I'm going to Import Alliance and its on the same weekend

It was one of the only free dates around here since all the shop owners and magazines throw shows every weekend.  Too late now, contracts have been signed and money has been put down.

Either way, the BBQ is next Sunday and we will focus on that for now.  See you there, Joose is on me.

I was at 7-11 getting beer and i saw these new cans and i was fuck the beer i bought like 4 cans. I will definitely bring some to the bbq. It will blow your mind when you taste them. I hate Four Loco because to me all the different flavors has the exact same after taste. Joose FTW!!!

Yea same here.  The orange four loco is the only decent one but like you said, the aftertaste is nasty.  When ever I have a chance to choose, I go for Joose.  Glad to know they now have a 12% competitor.

Can't wait for this one.  Lets all keep in mind that this is on memorial day weekend so if you want nice spots close to the grilling area, get there early.  Parking is never an issue there but there may be more people out cause of the holiday and the fact that its on a beach

There is going to be close to double the number of cars than whats listed on there.  Lots of locals and friends of friends with nice cars, are coming out.


The guys in the scene up here are usually all in their mid 30's.  Its a real mature crowd.  We don't need to tell anyone that burn outs will get you kicked out of the lot or doing anything stupid.  If any of you are bringing anyone who might act up, let them know in advance that the boys are out.  We don't want to loose this spot for potential BBQ's in the future.  Drink responsibly.  Enjoy your MDW

On the way in the US Border Patrol had me give them the keys and they brought me inside the 'office'. I saw the car roll into some sort of garage area with a bunch of mirrors and tools. They ask me all sorts of questions. Finally after about 30 mins a guy comes in, gives me my passport back and proceeds to compliment and ask questions about my car. I get back to my car and you could tell they searched it pretty good but they put everything back. Not too bad an experience, just a small hassle.
I expect it though. I get searched every time I cross in that car even in stock form.
On the way home they asked 2 questions and I drove on through. 45 secs - tops.
It was all worth it though. BBQ was great. People were real cool. Cars were insane.
I'd do it again in July if I could but I can't. Definitely not happy about that.
