SL55 WITH NEW SHOES

Hey,
 
After many nay sayers and listening to people who would not push the limit on an aggressive wheel fitment on OUR cars I decided to go ahead and go where not a lot of people have gone before. My project is coming along and the next thing that the car will probably see is a SL63 rear bumper conversion with a nice Carbon Fiber Diffuser. 
 
I hope you all like this setup, It took me a lot of time and cross fingers to put this setup together.

i think this car will pull off poke better than most with a little fender work. looks pretty good already.

Thanks to Everyone for the help and support. I love the way the project came out I will be rolling the fenders this coming Thursday and we will see about pulling. If I pull the fenders I will space out the front wheels to make them match up with the rears a bit better.

Nice SL55. Is that on stock height? I don't know much about Mercedes. Does the SL same as E55 that has airsuspension?

this is what i like to see! killer job man! I know how it goes! you see it up here (points to head) and making it work is different things. But when it is.. its really livin the dream. Having a dream and idea about something on a build and exicuting it just as you saw it.. is a very hard and difficult combination to intertwine

Thanks to all you guys, really. I got bashed on the MB forum for making my car loose all it looks when in my eyes it looks 100 times better and got some more style to it. I really like being and looking around on this forum seeing all you push the cars to a new style and something that is different.

Its late, maybe a bit buzzed.. but fuck the people on that forum! haha. They dont know style.. there has been some hard benz's from europe that are like yours. They are just upset they can't pull off the style. And that style is a in your face to the people that are stuck up and see some young dude driving around in somethin that took them for ever to get, and to wrap it all up in a crazy style. 

But what ever.. i get that shit from people daily on stock cars. I get older people telling me i am to young to have a Jaguar. Like who you tellin who can have what not have? Sorry I got my shit together before ya! They woulda killed them selves if I told em I had two at the time an paid less than the lex they were rollin cause the dont know deprecation! haha

But on the real, do what you do cause you love it. And thats what matters, not the fake ass MB guys with their projector light mods and bs cause they cant ruin the car cause they got a lease on the bitch.. yeah you heard me say it

lower? I think its perfect all around.. rear isn't lower than the front , front isnt lower than the rear.. its a perfect stance.. if it was lower it wouldn be functional

I'm glad to see you ade them work. Those are some fresh wheels and don't let me get started on the ride as a whole. Nice work.

All you need to tell them is this, and what I have been saying for years!!! about Mercedes:

Mercedes people who are like that are idiotic. Why would you care about unsprung weight and contact patch on a car that came with a automatic?? Benz made the car to be a sport cruiser.. If they wanted you to race it, they would have fitted it with a propper manual gearbox like bmw did.

Thanks to all you guys. Got some good news from DPE, they want to use my car in their marketing and will have me meet one of their reps that will fly out to Chicago in early June. 
 
I'm super happy with the way the car turned out. I'm spacing the front wheels out just a bit to make them sit the same as the rears. I also had to reschedule my appt to roll my fenders for next week due to being busy at work. 
 
I will have a final stance picture next coming weekend, the car should turn out great.
