Look who decided to roll out of the garage today...

Seriously, its been 4 years since I moved the car.  I lost an air-line to my suspension and I said forget it, I'll never touch this car again. Even though the GS represented the reason why I started VSC, the build of the car had its share of problems.  My closest friends know the reasons why I never wanted to bring the car back out again.  I lost so much and there was just too much pain behind it and it took me forever to get over it. There were times where I wanted to shut VSC down and never move back.  The GS seemed to remind me of those times and I felt that it should just rot inside my garage and never come out.  That changed...

I must thank my wife and my son Keoni, Mike D. (mdenoga), James(vipdout), Ron (urmyhero4now), Brandon (brandicus), Adrian (BAHC) and the rest of our VSC Nor Cal family; Freddie, Kevin, Steve and everyone at Autofashion USA; Liberty Car Club, RE, Platinum VIP, Mike I. (Elpresidente), Robert(SiknLow), Nick (airmax), the rest of the VSC staff; and especially ALL THE MEMBERS here at VIPStyeCars.com for helping "bring me back".  You guys are amazing, seriously. Everyone has helped lift me in some way and motivated me to get here. 

To most people, this is just another day.  For me, its the day I "got over it" and I brought the GS out of my garage.  So yea... here it is, somewhat cleaned up, running and out of the garage.

It's just the beginning, still got a few loose ends to tie up in regards to the car to be 100% out, but dammit...  This is a huge start for me.

awesome dude!  Glad this happened for you, and thank you for hosting this site.  IF not for THIS site, I would have never truly understood the VIP scene, and been motivated to own these kind of cars.

i'm a late bloomer on VSC and VIP scene. Started my setup last year.

nice to see it finally out of your garage. Your GS is my inspiration for building a GS, it would be a shame if it stayed in the garage.

Thank you all for the kind words, it means a lot to me and those of us deeply involved with VSC.  It was a great feeling moving the car out of the garage.  It is like driving a new car like Agi said.  I still need to put a new air suspension in as well as pick up new tires.  We went back and forth on whether I should completely revamp the car.  Take off every thing on there and build it over or leave it as is and simply continue to add to it.  Obviously, it was decided to leave it as is for now and see where it takes us. 

I can't believe its been this long.  I remember when we first started VSC and having our first posts on "our plans" for our cars.  All of you that are still here supporting us HAVE NOT disappointed at all.  The builds that have started here on VSC are so amazing.  If you guys think that my GS was your inspiration to build yours, I think that your cars are MY inspiration to work harder on VSC and for my GS.  Enough of my nostalgia.  I can't wait to be a part of our community again...  Modding, looking for mods, DIYs, and all the other stuff we geek out about lol.

welcome back homie. only fitting that something you put so much into gave back enough to get you back on track. now it's time to play catch up and get with this 2010 s**t. it's a whole new ballgame! i hope you enjoy revisiting it as much as we enjoy what you made for all of us.

To state it simply I wouldn't be here right now if it weren't for you buddy.  We are a fam up here and it just wouldnt feel right without the OG grandaddy car of all VSC repping with us :biggthumpup:  hehe I cant wait till we get together for a photoshoot man. wrd. without vsc, vip in the states wouldnt be as powerful of a movement as it is currently.

congrats on getting over your mental block John! Glad to see you're bringing it back.  I'll never forget seeing it at Sema in 04 next to the JP LS, those two cars IMO stole the entire show.

glad you finally got over it and got ready to work on it. whether or not you change it up, i still love your car. it has always been one of my main inspirations, for that i thank you.

Oh yea, the driveway...  it sucks lol  You can see my Prius parked next to GS and even that thing scrapes.  The worse part about it is the bottom of the driveway where it goes from the street to sidewalk to driveway.  Stock cars don't make it up without scraping usually.  Its a pain... Air all the way up is pretty much the only safe way to make it with my car.

If you guys notice, the rear of the car is pretty much all the way down in the picture but the front isn't.  I still have a leak in the rear and today once again I couldn't get it solved.  I think I'll need more fittings.  I am gonna give this one more week.  If not, does anyone want to sell me their stock suspension or used coilovers so I can just drive this car somewhere and get the new air suspension installed?  lol I'm getting frustrated with all the damn leaks I find.  bleh

I think Shane also wants the stock suspension from the buyer.  Something I don't have yet.  I'll try something next week, order some new fittings and see how this goes.  I feel so ghetto doing this but I want to bring the car to a shop to install something shiny and new! lol

I appreciate that B, I ordered some more fittings today so I'll give that a shot when they come in next week.  I will let u know tho if I need more.  I appreciate that a whole lot.

Why won't you use it for a long time?  What are you missing from your setup? 

I just need this setup to last me a month or so cause its gonna take that long for my new setup to arrive and be installed.

oh nice is it gonna be on air runner?  Im not gonna use my stuff cause im going back into the coilover camp, the handling is better there =)
