My Upgrade to a Compact Hydroholics One Pump Setup Has Begun

Here is my one pump six dump Hydroholics setup that will be going in my Benz. I want to thank Aaron at Hydroholics for really helping me out through the process and definitely representing Hydroholics as the preeminent hydraulic establishment. I want to also thank my brother Derek for helping me find some tees that will set these accumulators off right! (not plumbed yet)

It's still being pieced together, but I spent the day yesterday over with Andy at All Day Fabrication in AZ and he helped build me an insane pump rack worthy of such a unique setup. If anyone needs custom fabrication work, Andy is your man. His work is absolutely stellar and I couldn't be happier. Andy will also be building me a new battery rack in addition to a new trim panel for the trunk.

Enjoy, and feel free to ask questions. I want to have it in the car by this weekend and prettied-up by next week!

That's reeeeaaal nice. Hydroholics should consider making it an option for their customers.

When running accumulators, can you ride at any height and the ride will feel the same?

Essentially yes. In reality though, the car has the best ride when just at the point of tucking all around. It stiffens up significantly below that mark and begins to stiffen oh-so gradually higher than that point.

The charge of the accumulator could affect this though, I am not sure.

i think it just depends on your setup and how much fluid you have running through everything at a certain point. too much (going high), and you're maxing out the pressure in the accumulators. too little (going low) and theres not enough fluid to rebound the car.

every kind of suspension has its pluses and minuses, just gotta keep that in mind when you're planning out your car.

I'm just looking at hydraulic suspension, over others, cost-wise. A basic setup just to go up and down, no hopping, and accumulators would probably be cheaper than Air, or at least have better benefits of a more 'solid' ride at differing heights, at the cost of a line blowing and you losing all that fluid, right?

As long as your lines are ran correctly, there should be no reason to blow a line. That would only happen if they're hanging or rubbing on something.

Looks real nice in the spare tire well. Whole trunk is pretty clean. Any plans for that subwoofer to be cleaned up a little?
