car is back in the shop.........

 im SO SICK of spending my money on freaking maintenance on this damn car. i want to enjoy it and spend money on upgrading it and not dumping 1000s of dollars on making it look the same way it did before a damn wreck or whatever. i got rear ended yesterday and today this crap happens. my stock suspension is going back on and the rims are coming off. 

I dont know if i will buy a new suspension set up or a set of wheels. if i get the wheels refinished im selling them!

anyways the above is what i wrote on CL... i decided to rebuild. im debating an airrunner decade kit or the VIP platinum phantom cup.  I want to know if i was able to go with a full air kit would i be able to go more aggressive then my current mayas vs. a cup kit? i mean all i have is shaved fenders and if i got single dights lets say about +5 offset all the way  around i know i will poke some but with the added negative camber it might fit quite well with slight poke. 

welll bottom line is car is in the shop once again the airforce kit is for sale like stated above. and i will be getting the airrunner more then likely and i "miiiight" be getting a deal on some bmw wheels :) 

anyways ill keep ya guys updated

Damn that sucks. You got some dedication in keepin up the build. It seems like it has gone through too much. I'm sure any other person woulda quit on it by now. 
As far as the BJ goes, and I ain't tryin to talk down on ya, but it seems like that's not really bad luck. That goes in part with maintenance. Ya shoulda spotted that sooner and replaced it. Its like never changin the oil and expectin the car to last ya 100K miles. Can't really blame wear and tear parts failin of ya, and not keepin up on em.
Anyways, still feel your pain. Sucks ya had to go through all that BS

i did get them replaced i got them replaced at about 65-70k miles my car now has 99k miles. There no no reason why they would fail on there own after about 8 month of driving. all last week and this weekend my car and suspension was working just great until the moment i got rear ended. that is why my rear bumper got all fucked, rear 1/4 messed up, my alignment getting all wacked out the next day and then my ball joint snaps to hell!

im just trying to put the car back together so i can try to sell. i have a buyer for the airforce suspension whose interested in looking at it on saturday. And im hoping to get money back for my wheels and suspension. if not its time to hire a lawyer.  i dont have time energy and money to waste on a dumb fuck who said " i braked late"

I think I need to replace my ball joints. After having the car sit or so long flattened out I might as well do it

btw why would  u need a laywer for? wouldn't ur insurance cover ur damage? anyways sounds like the guy was tailgating u and im not sure if  insurance law is the same in the state but in canada if u rear end someone it's always your fault. it kinda like making a left hand turn and u hit someone, ur always at fault no matter what, even if the other guy was speeding or driving drunk.

he was rear ended the day before by someone that thought it was cool to jam the brakes at the last minute.

Sucks but there is always someone who has or had it worse.  Just keep your head up

John, definitely replace those ball joints. They are a known maintenance item on the 2GS, and the wear is exacerbated on an extremely low car.

I changed my Lower Ball Joints today.  After seeing this thread and the rest of the threads on all the other lexus related forums, I couldn't sleep at night with the old ones.  When we took off the ball joints, my buddy who helped me said that there was way too much play on them.
