It's a pitch video. This movie isn't set in stone at all. The director of this pitch, who's name i forget, made this to show what his take on a reboot of the movie would be like. I hope it really goes through though, this is what MK should've always been like from the beginning, brutal.

I hope the buzz from this trailer makes them think about doing this. Yea, like sickazzspanky said, it was made to pitch a "reboot" of the Mortal Kombat franchise. This is how the damn orig movies should of been in the first place. Dark and just gory. This trailer is now getting so much hype on the internet, its crazy

If the video is getting so much hype I think it's safe to say that the movie will be made. I'm sure the people behind the pitch video are hoping for as much hype as possible in order to drive the potential movie into production. That being said...shit looks pretty badass! Hope it goes through and gets put into production!
as a kid i actually enjoy the original Mortal Kombat and now that im older this will take me back to the gory and bloodiness of the original Mortal Kombat game. Looking forward to see what hollywood is going to do.

I remember finding out the blood code in the original one for Genisis. Ab, AC,ABB. Don't know how I still remember it lol but that was the shit back then. Life was fun before the internet. The original version of this clip got 3 mil views in a week. I am sure someone is going to make this movie a reality. P.S. I am glad Johny Cage got killed off lol
