Motor Oil for 1991 LS400 300kmi
I got a 1991 LS400 with over 300k miles. I hear a lot of people use Mobil 1. but with as many miles as i have, i was wondering what oil would be best, for summer time in cali and for as many miles as i have. reg? synthetic? full synthetic?
thanks in advance!

go with semi synthetic 15w-40. Better protection for high mileage. Full synthetic is more for performance and I don't like Mineral oil.

Been running mobil-1 for almost 100k and 5 years, cars had it since 20k miles currently at 230k on the odo. No problems to report and I'll keep using mobil1 till she don't run anymore :)

Ok, here are somethings to consider. If your engine has not ever used Synthetic oil, your car will eventually start leaking due to the detergents that will clean up all the stuck grimes/minerals on the oil seals and gaskets. So, be prepared to change those seals and gaskets.
