Awesome! I always wondered if this was possible. I would have gone for a VH41 from a Y32, but keen to see if the VH45 fits without too much work!

Have you measured things up to see if it will fit width wise etc?

if the VH41 fits in a cima there shouldnt really be any magor problems putting the VH45 in there. technicly its the same block just different stroke.

trans support seems to line up good but engine supports will have to be custom made wich i am starting next week... wirering will be a b*tch though but will eventually get done .. hehe

i ll keep the pictures flowing

ok here is a new update... engine is not quite in but getting there... all i can tell you is it really is a tight fit !!!!! i had to chop off the stock catylistic converters caus obvioustly JDM cars dont have the steering rod on the same side :pat: so the bend in the headers to clear it was on the wrong side but maneged to fix that. ill be using the cat off the stock exhaust line thats on the Cedric exhaust. Final things to do before wirering. Finish welding new engine mounts, reroute back side coolant lines and install slim fans.. then its all about wirering !!

heres the new pics

cool project, but should have cleaned up the bay while you had the motor out, IMO.

This waS a test fit anyways so the engine is going back out to finalise thé engine mounts. Some welding required hehe

Awesome to hear it fits... i thought it would have been a tight fit though; if it was an easy fit they would have offered it as an engine choice ;)

I would soooo love to have a big V8 burble coming from my Ced. Thats the only thing thats missing IMO

I would also take care of those major maintenance things. plugs sensors, belts, gaskets, hoses while the motor is out.
