Choosing a car for a build..Suggestions?

Hey everybody I am trying to choose a car for a build and wanted any of your suggestions of what car I should go with. Please post your thoughts and show me a picture of the car you suggest in VIP fashion.
 
Also I have one important question!!!!
 
Does a VIP car have to be a euro or import?! 
 
I wanted to know if I can go with a IMPALA SS, without breaking any VIP rules lol.

Traditionally VIPcars have been a handful of Toyota and Nissan platforms. There have been other platforms used, but they tend to be recognized as VIP style not VIPcars. Spend some time here and look at other members rides and you will begin to get a stronger idea of this niche modification's styling trends, ideas, and traits.

That being said - I have never seen am American car, other than a 300C execute VIPstyling to my tastes / preference.

My personal opinion, and not Jeremy Clarksons. Most American cars are rubbish. So instead of spending money on fixing, spend it on modding! I don't know how many people i have known who picked up super high mileage Lexus's that are near perfect! My buddy has a 93 sc300 with 200k on it, his mom has a 96 mercury cougar 100k miles and paint is fading the is a pile of shit, interior is fallen apart, can go on and on. and they had that car new.

So with that being said.. go with a clean well maintenance Japanese platform so you don't have to do anything. So buy what japanese do best, and buy what Americans do best "muscle cars" 

Sorry biased.. but after being a owner of many american muscle cars and regular.. I have a valid fact.

American cars can be vip, like a 300c, but even one of those brand new the door panel fell off in my hand when i went to close the door

What they said. It was basically started with a very few japanese models from toyota and nissan as mentioned. Since then it has blown up to include basically anything. I have seen anything from a 15000 or under "economy car" to six figure vehicles. Pretty much the name has been slapped on tons of cars as a label to follow a trend. You can really do whatever you want vip but in order to stay close to the original idea you want something four door, larger chassis, black, a great stance, and good wheel/tire fitment. Those are the basics. Technically speaking I guess you could do an impala, what year btw? If yo were to do it all out you would want to have some sort of subtle kit made for the car in order to fill out the body more I'd say then of course rims, suspension, nice interior, ect.

O and kouki I deny that you broke off a perfectly good 300 panel by closing it lol. Unless that thing was beat or something happened I find it hard to believe. I had an srt and it gave me no problems in the ~80k miles I drove it all over the eastside. It did kinda eat tires but that was my own fault lol.

oh, no trust me it did. it was a dodge magnum actually. I wish i had the pic of it still. i walked back into the office and said come out here. obviously the wires were still attached and so on. but with 75 miles on the clock that is dumb. They took it back to the dealer they brought it from that very minute. 

Apparently Billy or a guy named Ray, didnt QC sticker that door panel like they did the speaker.

Hmmm I dunno I have never ever heard that on the forums but I guess it's possible lol so sad. O well at least it doesn't blow up like some other cars have in the past from other companies. I love my srt never gave me a bit of trouble and it never had an easy life ha

Look around the website at people's rides and you will get an idea of what you're looking for really fast. 

When I first thought I knew a bit about VIP I actually didn't and spent a lot of time on here just reading up before I even registered. A lot of people (that I have seen atleast) go with a 2GS for VIP. I myself own a 2GS and love it. It's a great car to have overall and then on top of that, you can go VIP w/ it. 

Personally I do not pay attention to any other platforms/models of cars other than the Lexus GS, but I have seen Infiniti's VIP'd out and even a 300 (not my taste though). 

As far as your car that you were thinking about... I don't think that'd go well with the VIP style, but that's my opinion.
