Help with my 1st gen GS300....

Im buying a 93 GS300, tomorrow. Its black, with gray leather. Right away, Im going to order new leather (black with gray inserts) . Then, ...some new black oem floor mats, and some curtains, ....maybe some seat pillows. I just bought a PIMP, old Momo wood wheel, ..and have an adaptor coming for it. Im trying to build this whole car, ..for $6k. Im doing all the labor myself, of course.

I'll be getting some coilovers, soon. Maybe some Megans, ...or Ksports? Any suggestions are welcome. I DONT want a super stiff, ..track coilover. Our roads are RUFF. The springs have to have some give. Something similiar to the Tein Flex. I had a set on a SC300. I think something like that would be good, but theyre out of my budget. I need to stick with the ones <$1000.

I want to push the envelope, a little but, with the wheel fitment. I have a fender roller, ...and I also do paint and body, as a hobby. I want to flare the fenders out a bit, ...nothing crazy, BUT, ..I want to stuff the widest 18" or 19" wheels I can, in the rear. I'll be repainting the car, black, anyway. It'll be a show quality finish.

The front, ...Id like to go flush, ...but drivable flush. I want the rears to poke, maybe a half inch, ...and run a narrow tire to make it clear, when the suspension compresses. Thats the thing, .....its GOT to be drivable.

I havent been able to find many 1st gen GS and Aristos, with aggressive fitment, ...with specs listed. And, ..Im not order custom wheels. I plan on hunting down a good used set. If you guys could posts some, with specs of the wheels AND the tires,.... Id appreciate it. Please, 1st gen ONLY.

just something to keep in mind, cars generally look awkward when the fronts tuck and the rears poke

Welcome. There are some members here with 1 gen gs' and I'm sure their rides will give you some inspiration. Check out the Toyota/Lexus threads.

Car turned out to be junk! I didnt get it. Im just going to keep looking, ...but now, I do have my heart set on a GS300/400. Im getting my used car dealers liscense, within a few weeks. I'll just wait, and see if I can find one at auction.
