shipping from texas tends to be in the same ballpark anywhere on the coasts. wheels + tires usually run $150-200.

got an e-mail notification. apparently someone felt this needed to be deleted but i have no problem with the question.

Avantgarde wrote:I'm not in on the Hype about these Wheels... Can someone explain the to me? they're type-ridiculous looking to me... I like lowriders, so I mean, i could see a set of "Hunit spokes" before i throw those on there...

Are they super rare like "5 sets in the world" or something?? I'm not being facetious, I'm serious as heck! Let me in on the mix... I haven't seen them since they were making bodykits for the KA7

Bust me in the head with a history lesson!

first off, i wouldn't really call it hype. if you say head40 most people won't even know what you're talking about. i think cats just react to seeing something that's different and looks good. of course "good" is subjective, some ppl just plain don't like them.

99% of what i have read about the wheels says they are work made, i have also seen the crimson name mentioned a time or 2. "rare" is an overused word in the wheel game imo, we'll just say they're not real common. what is unique about this particular set is:

  • size - these wheels are more often seen in smaller (15"-17" sizes) and are usually welded multi-piece vs. the 18s which are 3 piece bolted. i scour the internet regularly and these are also the most agressive fitment i've seen in the world (other than a rebarreled set).
  • condition - this set was manufactured in 1999 and not mounted until this year. since then they've seen few miles.

it's a love it or hate it wheel, but if you can dig the look then they're on par (if not better than) other quality wheels in every other aspect.
