Congrats. CL is one of my favorite cars on the street. 2 door, big body, plus you have a v12 in that 6. I think your right about dropping it first. The lip for AMG/sport bumpers looks pretty good. Especially colormatched.
 
EDiT: Here's a link to a member's CL55 for some inspiration. Slammed on ViP modular vr05, cf lip and some other goodies. I love these cars.
