Removing Y33 interior pillar and roof

Any tips or info on how to "Properly" remove these pieces. Gonna start working re-wrapping and redoing the headliner and pillars.

Also anyone know how to get the visors apart to remove the fabric?

When I'm not being lazy, I'll try to find the VIPmag where they show how to do this.......

+1 i hate the air bag stickers they have on the visors!!

As far as pillars go, I suggest startin from the top and work your way down. And if ya got a long screw driver, that might help with the C pillars

yes pls! pics of the headliner removal would be great! i know the rear pillars pop out but you have to remove the rear seat. good luck! cant wait to see pix!:biggthumpup:

Didnt have to take out mine. 
Just pull off soem of the trimming that runs along the door area covering the C pillar

The headliner is easy, just remember that there are 3-4 clips around the back of teh sunroof so once you have everything else taken off and loose, you have to slide the whole headliner forward about 3/4" to get the clips to disengage. As for the Pillars, I just pulled back the window trim and lifted up and out....
 
The hard thing is getting the headliner out of the car without cracking it.  I am putting the new one in through the windshield so that I don't damage all the work we have done to it

pillars all removed. b pillar is a little more tricky than expected. a and c pretty much cake.
visors figured out something helpful after the fact. will get pics up later. tomorrow or later today will try to take down the headliner, need to figur eout how the mirror comes off.

Please share the tip about the visors as I am about to tackle them soon. 
LMK if you need pics. I can take a few regarding the mirror and tomorrow I can take a few to show you the headliner clips I was talking about.

I got everything out including the sunroof panel. The sunroof is a bitch to do by yourself unless you like being in missionary position with the sunroof giving to you good. :sad: (no homo?)

For the visors. I just realized to take the inner screws (ones closest to the mirror) out first or you'll break the plastic clips that they are fastened to. If you take the outsides ones off first the visor will try to drop down on one side causing that plastic to break. PIA!

Waiting for to get some DAP Weldwood High strength adhesive to use for the headliner. Been reading that it's one of the top spray adhesives to use. After that I should have my interior back together by next weekend. Headliner got out in one piece but cracked a lil by the sunroof switch area. I probably should have taken the seats out since those are to be done next anyway. Headliner is cake. There are multiple Velcro type fasteners around the sunroof and front end. Towards the back  about 75% of the way back there are maybe three metal snap fasteners then more Velcro looking fasteners.

^ Bingo!  I'm not even risking cracking the headliner again going back in though.  I will take pics of the clips and the velcro for others too.

Yeah I am guessing pros probably take seats out and the doors off first. Would make it much much easier but alot of work.

yeah if you take out a front seat and remove a front door it should come right out but I'd rather just put it through the windsheild since it already has a crack and I get a new one free.

And you risk getting a crack when you pull the headliner out.  It really doesn't come out of the car easy.

is how I feel. Not sure I EVER want to do that again. I meant to call you Sam cause we got the headliner done but at the cost of a some wrinkles and glue stains :( but still I likes. Every first time has some issues I guess. O_o

this headliner seems like a pain to get out. How did you remove the headliner?

^ Fold it till it comes out a door.  It's going to get cracks in the sides.  The way to do it right is to replace the windshield when you do it and pull the headliner out thru the windshield hole.  There really isn't another way.  No form of Tetris will get it out of the car.  They had to have put it in before windshield at the factory.

Yeah that would be the ideal way. Or take off the doors and remove the seats.

I had to remove the front and back bottom half seats. probably removing all the seats would help and I did it with minimal cracking.

^ Oh ya I should mention we had the seats and centers out when we took it out.  I can't imagine getting it out with the seats in!

I need to do my C pillars.... its starting to do the "poof"

Yeah, if the rears and the fronts are out its close with the headliner...

will probably attempt this again as I want to redo my headliner.

I have the official Infiniti master tech description on how to remove the headliner.  You must remove 1 seat ...been told the passenger makes it easier.   Then fold down the otherone so that it is as flat as possible.   The headliner will then rotate and come out and up on an angle over the frame of the front door when it is open. I hope this helps. ?
