How do you lowered deal with speedbumps?

I am now facing the problem of speedbumps since I lowered my car. How do you deal with them when really low? Go at them diagonally?

I avoid them at all costs or enter them diagonally and destroy my frame rails.

Just go diagonally and hope for the best. The under side is gonna get scraped up and that's just part of the game. As long as you're going slow, you won't really damage much and eventually the parts getting scraped will bend some and grind down and won't scrape as bad.

Now is when all that geometry comes in handy. Go at it diagonally and hope u have enough angle. Also, avoid at all costs any gas station with a really high angled slope to get in. Because the only way ur getting out without scratching a front bumper up is gonna be by reversing down the slope at the same angle u went in at. Other than that my rule of thumb is if you scraped going in. Ur probably gonna scrap twice as hard coming out if you aren't careful. If all else fails fuck every one else and go forward and backward a million times until ur borderline parallel to the road the give the wheel full lock and floor it.haha

LOL! I have air and I still avoid all speed bumps at all cost!
If it's a situation that I absolutely have to go over a speed bump, then i'll take the widest angle and try and scrap over the bump but most times, even when I do that, I get literally stuck on the speed bump and then that's when I have no other choice but to raise it to get over.

Short answer - Avoid them all together

W/ the slow lines it's jus a hassle to raise the car, go over and then lower it back down to the desired height.

I only really use the air for parking

Just angle it. If there is a car in front of you, let it pass. You need all the room you can get. Don't worry about the people behind you, they can wait 6 seconds

I press a button.

But like pancakes said, I would just go at an angle. It's annoying setting the pressure right back to where i had it before. I pretty much only air up if its waaayyy too steep and to get in the driveway. Or when i get stuck 3 wheeling like I did today.

Speed bumps, they are there for people to go slow.. Then cops get all mad when you have to go slow over them! Tell a cop the next time you get pulled over for it, say you lowered your car so you drive more cautiously.

to deal with speed bumps.. make sure nothing is hanging down to catch on it, the average speed bump is 3inch on a semi flat plane. if nothing is hanging down.. you can drive right over it. My s14 was stupid low but it went over them no problem. Its the sharp angled ones you gotta watch out for

at the sharpest angle possible. my mudflaps always catch though. :(

What do you do if they're on every street in your neighborhood? Just stay home and look at how pretty your useless car is? Speedbumps are a fact of life, in LA they're all over the place: parking lots, neighborhood streets, etc. Just angle the car, scrape and say to yourself "who cares".

Yeah, I figured as much, although he does live in N.C. so I could imagine there probably aren't many speedbumps, just open country roads. Having been to Charlotte/Mooresville a number of times for work, it's freaking boonies IMO. And my co-workers there complain about traffic LOLOLOL

On a side note, there was a member on here, who I can't recall his SN, but I met him at a couple SoCal events and his plates said "SCRAPR" his LS was hella low on coils, best plate of all time.

Beeguy! That's what it was!! He was on air? We did a 15-20 car caravan a few years back and cruised all day from Huntington Beach to Pedro, to Torrance and I never saw him lift it. But regardless, that plate was awesome and he rolled low.

angle or simply avoid areas with mountain bumps as i call em...i have pretty bad one just outside my street, both ways, so no way of getting out without leaving some underseal on the road...and the biggest problem is that it has a raised divider island right in the middle, so i cant actually go full on angle...i dont really care if i scrape to be honest...if i fail inspection on too many scrapes on chassis i can just go and buy underseal spray and do it at home.
funny how all my mates cringe whenever i scrape...and never understand why i dont give a damn...but they simply not used to lowered cars

Popped my cherry today. Was going up a driveway creeping at an angle and I hear it grind my car to a hault, So I turn the wheel and gave it some gas. Everyone broke neaks when my rails ground along the ground and then the chirp of my tire makes contact again with the road surface.

The worst though is every decent bump my exhaust hits the ground and make a scrapping noise. But I am sure that will grind away.
