You never know, I would just suggest calling up Joe over at Infiniti of Scottsdale, or Riverside Infiniti and just get them there.

How do you know when its time for knock sensors? Recently my service engine light just came on. The car has plenty of power until it reaches full temp then feels like something is holding it back could it be the knock sensors?

easiest way is to go to auto parts store for free and get the codes read.

yeah the easiest way is to find a shop that does free code readings. But if your car feels like jerky and sluggish it could be the sensors or time for a tune up. My Q was weak until i changed the K.sensors and plugs

mine felt sluggish too, so first i changed plugs. then when light came back on it said knock sensors. but, for the pain in the ass they are, i would be sure that's what it is before doing them.

knocks don't give a jerking feeling. it just feels sluggish almost like a garbage truck won't stomp your ass in a race.

well i hooked up a code reader to it and it gave a knock sensor and 02 sensor code. coils are worth a shot though. i have a whole parts car to work with fortunately.

sounds just like my problem i had when i first got the car. Does it shutter a lot when it is on drive? But if you put it on neutral, or park it stops a little?

I need to change my knock sensor as well but have not done the research on how difficult it would be. But it seems like it isnt that fun from the little I have read... What is the best route/method to doing this?

My Q has that jerking/bucking problem as well. I tried to figure out if it was a bad coil, but i went through and unplugged each coil, one at a time, and it didnt make any difference at idle or rev.... oddly enough, i reset the CEL, the problem still exists, but no longer does the CEL come up... its been weeks :(.

My knock sensors were going out so the car was sluggish. They finally failed all together and the CEL came on. Thing runs fine now. I'm leaving the damn things on as is since I can't really see a need for them. Rather spend my money on something more useful.

Yeah my o2's are good I got a couple of codes when I scanned it and o2's was not one of them. But I did get one that I was unfamiliar with it read something along the lines of (IAT) my guess was intake air temp... but still not sure and was wondering if anyone knew for sure what that was....?

i think that is the wire connection connected to your air intake thingy check if it disconnected. i forget to connect mine when i replaced the alternator n it triggered the check engine light

Thats funny because I looked over all of that but it seems whoever messed with that last did not correctly connect it so it looked pluged in but actually was not. So thanks for the tip, plugged it in correctly and that IAT code went away.
