Anybody have experience with swift springs
I have megan coilovers on my 1995 ls400 and my car is hopping like shit in the front and its beginning to become a pain. I was looking in to replace my megan springs with swift springs. I called up swift and they recomended the new springs because they feel 100 times better than the megan springs. but i dont know if he is being real or just trying to sell me some springs. So if anyone has experience with Swift springs or if i can get some advice on working with megans to make them less bouncey it will be greatly apprecieated. Also i have the front set at 10nth notch and rear on 12th

springs are springs. "bouncy" is caused by inadequate damping. have you tried adjusting your settings? inspected for blown shocks? how low are you driving? past a certain point geometry has a noticable effect on ride quality.
if the issue is that the springs are simply to "harsh" (but properly controlled) then switching to a softer spring may help,

yeah i have adjusted my dampening a few times i currently have them set at 12th notch in the front and 10th in the back so its still pretty stiff. My front bumper is about 3 inches from the ground and my frame is around the same

double check the spring rate on the front, it's somewhat possible that megan mismatched the springs.
and set your front STIFFER than the rear, on megan 1 is stiffest iirc, so your front should be 4-8clicks LESS than the rear.

As far as swift springs they are well known and liked in the industry from everything I've seen. But first I would do as suggested and check what you have.

i figured that since the front(12k) has a higher spring rate than the rear(10k) i should have the front a few notches higher than the back so that it would be even. Also i raised them up about an inch and the ride is like 100x better and smoother in my opinion. I am still debating on getting softer springs since i drive it everday

the front has a higher spring rate because of the additional weight. dont try to "even it out". keep the front a good bit stiffer than the rear and you'll feel a definite positive outcome.

I heard positive things about swift springs too. I'm probably going to swap out my BC springs to swifts once $$$ prohibits me. :biggthumpup:

yea i heard good things about swift springs. im getting 22kF/18kR so i can go lower. but have you ever try to ride the coilovers full stiff all around? I'm running full stiff on my Q and i thought it was toO bouncy but everyone saw differ. Looking more into it i found out that my front seat has a lot of cusion between the leather which made me feel like im bouncing a lot hahaha.

remember that youo can only respring within a certain margin without having to have the damper portion of the coilover revalved. Megan says that their coilovers will tolerate a +/- 2kg/mm change in spring rate from original with the original valving.

actually provided the dampers are valve-matched for the spring rate they should ride alright. Tanabe sells super-high rates in their Super-Low-Form line of coils.

O I know as long as they are valved for it they won't be that bad but that's still rather high. I'm very curious to know how much some of these companies can really handle with their shocks. Just because they offer high rates and "adjusted valving" doesn't mean they will really operate 100% like that. Just saying I'm not saying the super lows couldn't as I don't ever remember any dynos on them or well anything minus knowing they were out there for a select few cars lol
