97 q45 stock alarm

I don know if everyone has had this problem or maybe it's just my car but my alarm only works from like 0-10 feet away from the car? And if I park in a underground paking lot it won't work at all :saiyancrunks: I have to lock it with the key. I put new battery in the control but it still worked the same. Any info will help, thanks Guys

Yeah same problem except i haven't tried an underground lot. I chalk it up to old age.
Invest in an aftermarket alarm.

YEah, mine is the same way but it works in a garage.  I think it may be the sensor inside the car.  I noticed mine got worse when I tinted the car???

LoL... glad you started this thread. I bought my car a few months back and thought the batteries were drained too. I also replaced both fobs with new batteries and the problem hasn't gone away.
 
If anyone knows a solution please keep us posted....

Mine is the same..... Put the remote under the flat , well flat for most of us =D, part where your chin meets your neck and try it... It doesnt make a huge difference but it will just about tripple it.

edit: Seriously try it lol. Closer to your chin. Kind of where your tongue is.

I had that same problem too. I took my remote fob apart and put a shim underneath the unlock button.  It's been working fine ever since

haha never seems to fail. but i never tried it on this car.

i gotta try that today. hmmm. but yeah me and the two of the vegas heads (joe and chuck) were talking about this. chuck got range like crazy but me and joe are pretty much standing next to the lock and thats about it for range. haha

LOL yup guess charles own is newer than ours!:shrug: gotta try that shim trick!
