most people on here will say they're knock off kits, which they are, but I consider their lip kits more "inspired" than 100% knock off because they're modified to fit USDM bumpers. The full body kits are definitely knock offs. The only bonus is they're cheaper, they're in the USA already, and you're supporting a US business.

I've seen ads for Version Select in VIPCAR magazines. They could possibly be coming from Japan.

You're joking right?

Also note they use the ACTUAL company pics of kits they are knocking off...like several of them.

I've seen identical pictures of their kits in magazine ads before. I don't know where they come from but they did offer all the same kits plus some JDM only cars too. The website also says their headquarters is in Japan. Just an observation.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I had VS sides and rear on my Q and loved it. But I know at least in the past, the "majority" on this site will put them down. If they offered a kit for the USDM Y34, I'd jump on it, but unfortunately they don't. Personally, I got nothing against them.

they actually do distibute some japanese made parts for works group or something like that. unfortunate because some of the original lip kits are clean and simple but i will not support them in anyway because of their business practice.

To name a few:
AimGain, Artisan Spirits, VLENE, Evolution, Auto Couture, K-Break, Insurance, Junction Produce, Mode Farfume, Job Design, VlLUSTYJEWEL, Wald, ...

Lots of these Japanese kits fit like a glove and are of high quality. That saves you body work costs and time since it gets painted and goes right on. Rather than getting worked on here and there for a few weeks then painted. You can also bang them around and they won't crack that easily.

Just save up and get something exclusive that fits nice rather than something that will end up being on every F50 out there due to the cost (the knockoff).

I agree that there business practice is questionable. Here is a copy of an email I recently sent to my photographer and Version Select:

To:
"info@versionselect.com" <info@versionselect.com>

Cc:
"Anthony Mair" <anthonymairphoto@gmail.com>

I have contacted my photographer about the posting of pictures of my car on your website:

http://www.versionselect.com/gallery.htm

The pictures clearly state the name and website of the photographer, yet you still placed your company logo on top and posted them on your web site:

http://www.versionselect.com/images/Q45_rolling.jpg

http://www.versionselect.com/images/Q45_rolling_sideprofile.jpg

Additionally there is another photo from www.vipstylecars.com that you also placed your logo on and posted:

http://www.versionselect.com/images/VIP_Q45.jpg

I have NEVER dealt with anyone or purchased anything from your company. I bought the kit in 2007 in JAPAN and it is clearly different.
The kit you sell has no cut out for a Japanese license plate, no air intakes under the fog lights, and no vertical intakes next to the fog lights.

Please remove these pictures immediately.

The nerve of some people :madgo:
