2004 Acura 3.5RL KA9 Pics

This car is a DD, so the drop isn't very aggressive at all, pending additional suspension mods (on coilovers now), but I want to thank most of you for not being dick-bags about the non-platform car.

Pardon my amateur photography, but I haven't had time to have some 'real' pictures taken by those with 'talent.'

Damn, those rims look really good on there. I think your next step would be a more aggressive drop and a black/badgeless grille. That's just my opinion though.

Good job either way!

Looks good man, nice start. There's actually something about the SL that I like compared to the Orden, 'specially in an offset like that, it's a unique look.

Plans to lower it?

the best year of the 3.5RL..they made so many nice, subtle changes for the '04. i'd love to have one of these for a DD.
very nice!

It's already ~3" down in the front and ~3.5" down in the back (on 20s) on coilovers, suspension height, that is, the wheels pick it back up some. I'm planning to bring it down some more, pending some fender work...I had a fender-liner pull a houdini...so I'm working that kinda stuff out before I go any further.

Thanks buddy, I appreciate the kind words from another RLer.

The Navi interface that I used was this one, it's on sale now, way less than I paid: http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=9231

You have to be really careful about which one you get, because the 04 3.5RL uses a different interface than the previous models, but the same one as the 05 RL.

It also has the rear view camera interface, so it automatically will switch to a reverse camera when you put it in reverse.

Nice classy look, love the shape. Any of you Acura/Honda owners know if they make a DIN kit for aftermarket stereos in those things (ones without NAV obviously) ?

There's not a ready made kit to replace the radio, from what i remember. Most people have had to do it custom when it comes to integrating it with the dashboard.

Good find.... I wonder if LHD and RHD are different... (EDIT: I think they are the same and/or there is a Chinese seller LHD model there too)

I don't want to hijack but who can give me some inside dirt on KA9's definitely considering one after seeing some on here.

That i true^

KA9s have similar characteristics in suspension with older Legends and the TSX... the front forks have to be changed if you go with a Legend suspension though.

With the TSX, i remember there being something about a washer being needed in the rear, but there was no elaboration. But they pretty much bolt right up.
