91 LS sluggish starting

91 LS, im having trouble starting my car. The car has 194,000 miles on it. Never had a problem out of the care. All the belts are good and the altanator has been replaced. Im not sure if its the starter or what. Had the batery checked and its good to go also. Any idesas? Thank you

I suggested to get some seafoam, but im unsure on if i should you it or not.

Starter is on its way out. You never know how long you've got. Replace it asap.

Its not that, its just your chances of finding someone who does know goes up exponentially on CL, their all about technical knowledge

Be prepared to spend a bit as well, if you don't DIY. 
You've got to take off the intake manifold as well IIRC. 
 
At least you can clean up the engine while you are digging through it!

Yeah i know, i would have to pay to get it done. I think it could be the battery, does anybody recommend a certain brand. i was going to get a yellow top optima, but i think its too big.

I went through the exact same thing with my '00. Cost me $700 parts and labour.
No point in changing the battery if it already tested fine.

Ended up taking the car to pep boys, got the starter,battery and altanator checked. And it was the battery. Yes!:pat:

starter sucks.
